Definitely the way to go if you keep a number of Jill’s, I have a total of 10 jills in 3 cages all I do is move the vasectomised hob from cage to cage as and when needed, by the end of summer he’s burnt all his winter fat off with all the sexercise,
All good this end Keith just knitting some purse nets ready for September, it can’t come quick enough now, roll on the frosty mornings and windy nights, hope your keeping well ?
Bang on there charts, some people can’t help themselves, then try kidding everyone with the…. It’s pest control?come October/November same lads moaning there is nothing about,,,,
Then the usual excuse it’s pest control, then same lads moaning about lack of numbers come September, once I have finished I’m done until the next season
With a lot of shoots not being on the keepers will be turning their attention to the rabbits I would imagine, with the added bonus of a bit of pocket money for any they sell onto game dealers
I predominantly use a strain of albino’s they are worked regularly in the season producing great days out, I prefer good sized Jill’s, and currently run a team of 10 8 Jill’s and two hobs. Lurcher wise I have an ageing half x collie greyhound A 3/8 5/8 border/beardie collie greyhound last but not least my 2gen half kelpie greyhound pup
Personally I prefer my kelpie character over my beardie, it’s took her the best part of 2 years to come too, iv done nothing different with her than my other lurchers she’s very much an independent type where as my border half x and kelpie x do it to please me she does it as and when she’s ready,
