  1. hi guys, in my humble opinion you'll , like someone said having a lots of headache if you don't have time to work them. about the crossing you want to do it depends if the dog is really good or not. i have both jagds and patts and i don't believ that anyone as lack of anything. one is specialized in one thing, the other is far more versatile but i have discovered that patterdales have an excellent nose. good luck with them and i hope the jagd make the grade. in spain they are used for fox hunting, not much time trials but hard work. i bought one female for 250€ from a guy fr

  13. Totally illegal. Although rosette hunters would love it, not only could pups be advertised from "show winners" but also "Game fair fastest tunnel dog" that's true!!! :clapper: but can be nice to start some dogs, but smaller ones
  14. how is your dog bred awen? how is he working? nice strong one!
  15. no good for guarding unless they grown up in a pack. my apbt is a good guard dog but she was raised with 2 female Serra da Estrela Cattle dog and they are bred for that purpose. today, she is the only guard dog in the yard but a patt pup that i have is better alarm than her. she protects him from anyone!! best regards
  16. sorry spindolero, i must disagree. they are not fighting dogs or bred for that purpose. the experienced terrierman say that todays workers wanted a dog and only one dog in the hole for the work, but in the old days there was more than a dog. not so much bull blood they said and wrote about it. maybe i'm wrong and what everyone wants are workers that not work with others and don't team up. forget about the laughs of ratting then!!! best regards
  17. hello, sorry mate but aren´t you the alfa of the pack?? it' not for you to sort it out? show them whats the hierarchy, and them you must mantain. they are fighting because they are competing for the higher "job" in the pack. you don´t need to beaten up, only if starts you end it with a firm "NO" and a little shake grabbing their neck. if they are good give them a reward. They are not figthing dogs!!! reward the good behaviour and deny them any privilege if bad behaviour is around. i had apbts and you can believe that bitchs are worse than males. my little bitch raised all my dog
  18. please don't!!! they ruin everything with their beauty shows and that kind of breeding for the measurements!!! they are already judged for FCI shows in Poland or tchek republic. not a good road for anyone that like working dogs. best regards
  19. nice one digaman, little she is. what do you hunt with her? best regards
  20. you can fetch a jagdterrier from anywhere in europe unless of course the uk, but i believe that someone has a one or two. the best working bloodlines are from eastern europe and of course from germany. also in Spain you can find very good ones, breeding like proper way and with various bloodlines. i've found some good ones from 300€ to 600€/700€ (depends if pup or full grown) from german and tcheck bloodlines and with a wide range of structure and weight. mine was a little high price but now it worth every euro. he is from german and tcheck bloodlines, despite he and one brother
  21. Some photos of the portuguese podengos, little, medium and big with smooth and harsh coat: the head of a little smooth coat Portuguese Podengo: is work is mainly rabbits, foxes and wild boars. best regards
