-
well, i would never of guessed the cross!!! she is a beaut though, a credit to you.
-
my patt is about 9 months, held down a big buck rabbit that was allmost as big as her at abt 7mnths, she comes everywhere with me, picks up shot game, kills rats for fun in the grain store, and self entered to a fox which she flushed on sat (pissing rain, i shit myself thought i was gonna have a long lonely dig with no terrier finder, but she flushed it and followed out) i was well chuffed!! yours should be well ready for a few rabbits. All the best Molie

lovely dogs hannah4181, the collie x is a beauty!!
-
ive tried penut butter and chocolate spread but they dont seem that interested, though ive used half a loaf of bread before with some success! why not try some rabbit guts!! surley they will smell that and be intrested? rats like fresh food, gotta get your mind away from just "smell smell smell" although some smell is good they love it fishy, and they are suckers for half an apple aswell, we had success tonight on choc spread and halibut pellets. you cant beat just waiting for them on a regular run though!

my border collie is so trainable, its actually quite amazing. she WILL NOT pick up game AT ALL though, she is proper welsh sheepdog worker - worker, just wondered if this would be a breeding thing or just a funny quirk of hers ? when she gets near a rabbit/fox/dear/badger/hare/pheasant etc etc she just barks and bounces, funny to watch, but bloody anoying! you cant fail them for intelligence or agility, shame shes spayed

whats wrong with showing a few scars!!! bloody kc, bloody rossette hunters. ba!
-
yeah im sure ive seen a necklace made of funny rings that come on "feral" pigeons somewhere......
-
wild rats are MUCH worse than squizzers!!! for starters i eat squirrels, but i wouldnt ever dream of eating a rat! filthy dirty beasts, i only ever move them with a stick or pliers!! plus these scent glands are right near the arse end - as in where the wiels disease is carried in there piss. you sick bugger!! put up pics of a skinned wild rat! dare u!! and then put pics up of the liver dialisis when u get the yellows!!!
-
looks to me like grease off their bellies, the dirty b*****ds. you can allways tell where they're running along a wall because you get a dark greasy rub mark at rat height. looks like your INFESTED!!
-
i allways go for the neck or back, pigeons heads move far to much, and since seeing someone shoot a ferals beak off and the bird flew away , i dont go for the headshot, its not really just a clear case of "hit or miss". if you know where to shoot them in the body theres no need for a headshot. back, neck or up the pooper

im off ratting tonight to! were using a mash made of nuttella (choc hazelnut spread) and halibut pellets, smells lovely!! to the rats that is! sure everyone has there fave bait though. weve tryed most!!
-
Linger longer eh? cold water has always been a fave of mine, definatly helps with the smell off rabbit guts

i use the self cling tape, sticks to itsself and not the gun, and when it stops sticking, in the washing machine with it! exelent piece of kit just to keep in the bag. ive used it for camoing all sorts of stuff, from camp chairs to bottles of water. http://camo-nets.com/index.php?target=prod...roduct_id=29836 and it now comes in 3 colours, wich it didnt when i bought it!!

great vids mate, me and the old man cheered when ole' charlie hit the deck! -
we say "down" "sit" "ave that" "f@*k, did you F@*KING SEE THAT!!!!" "*bang* Left, *bang* Right"(thats decoying pigeons with .12's) but my personal fave is "smile dickhead" in an aussy accent, which we got from a preditor shooting dvd, where the bloke blows a foxes head off close range, think that one will stick forever!!!!
-
Thanks....even more confused now lol Steve Sorry mate! just stick to a magnification that suits you, and put as many shots as poss into paper before you tackle the bunnies!! oh and 60metres is a bit far unless your on FAC. sorry for the confusion, you'll get used to it!

what work does a pitbull get used for ?! killing bears?!
-
horses for courses mate, everyones gonna have a different opinion on this one. as far as my knowledge goes, patts are more the "if i go to earth, youve gotta have spades with you" as in go to ground and hold till dug, and lakies were used in the lakes for killing to ground in rock dens. thus the lakie is a "harder" dog, but then patts are also well known for being hard as nails, see im even contradicting myself now!! look forward to the replys off this one!! worker - worker is what counts though! Molie

i dunno if changing the magnification does change where the shots going to go, i use mine on 9x most of the time, but it works fine on 3x for the ratting in the barns, also, a mate thinks that changing the focus ( the ranged bit on the front of the scope) changes your elevation?! i dont think this is true but again, i wait to be proved wrong!
-
ive got a mil dot scope and i just guess! put as many rounds down it, at as many different ranges as poss, and you'll soon get used to it, its never gonna work perfectly to "the manual" anyway is it?! i wait to be proved wrong! im looking forward to the respose because i probably dont use mine right either!! Cheers Molie

damn victor, u aussys sure have the right idea!! we have actually looked at burning it but apparently according to surrey county council we couldnt light so much as a match because its too close to the M25 (big motorway in the south of england). so thats out and the matbro cant get onto the bank because its so steep! so it looks like we'll have to keep strugling with the smoker On The Hill. glad i checked first, it does seem to be that rats are much harder than ferrets, wich puts them even further to the back of my mind!! cant stand the bloody things, i have scars to prove it! at leas

you can get a SMK b2 for like 40 quid! although a catty probably shoots straight!
