  2. Right, ive finaly got round to putting the pictures of the weekend onto the computer! We all met up on friday after work at our yard, zeroed the rifles and then headed off for the camping grounds, early enough for it to be light enough for us to sneak up to the pond and snipe a duck, with permission to shoot anything in season, we usually flight this pond but this time it was air rifles only and stew is a tasteless dish without meat! it was me who took the shot, with the ultra(still cant fault it!) and mable (the white dog in the pics) retrieved. so with one duck in the bag, we set up camp,
  3. looks like a falcon fn19 lighthunter to me, my mate has the non lighthunter version, and his just has a peeling off sticker that says falcon on it, could be why you cant see a makers name! good luck with it!!

Ill let you know how we get on upon return to civilisation. with pics aswell hopefully!! Cheers Molie

Nice looking bitch Molie, has she done much ? yes mate, started her on mice on her second day out after all clear from jabs etc, shes bang on the rats, marking holes etc etc, retrieves shot rabbit, squirrel, pigeon crow etc etc (goose was a bit heavy for her!) not been tried to ground yet as shes only young. but cant fault her prey drive, nose and gameness yet. pic of mine with my boss's Parsons jack, tried and tested warrior.

  16. LOL any chance of first dibs on the night sight when your getting that way ?!!!! lol
  17. They're all great looking terriers, some of the blacks are stunna's. keep the good pics coming blackntan. Cheers Molie
  18. in my opinion, i wouldnt bother, the gun is so short, if you have the bi-pod on the stock with it folded forwards the bi-pod will be in the way of the cocking lever, and if you fold it back, its going to be well in the way of holding the stock, and its not really a long range gun anyway, due to the short barrel. hope it helps mate, happy shooting! Molie
  19. how is hitting one vital more humane than another, wether you hit it in the head or the heart, its dead. i regularly shoot them in both, they die either way. its all relative to the shot you are taking at the time anyway, taking into account wind, shooting up/downhill, range and the quarrys possition facing you. lets just say, we both know how to shoot, but ill still be shooting when your pushing daisys  Cheers for the banter, love it. Molie
  20. i said nothing about back end, i said heart or head. if you cant see its head (perhaps obscured behind nettles etc etc) then i would go for a VITAL heart shot. but you on the other hand, being perhaps a bit old and doddery (shaky hands) cant garentee a VITAL shot in the heart! agreed there is less room for error in the head but if your confident of the shot, why not take it?! im confident enough in my shooting to go for it, ive been shooting since about 8 y/o now 21, i live on my permission so i get PLENTY of practice. now back to your sticky bolted AAs410(s) oldster............ Cheers
  21. theres foxes, roe, rabbits, pigeons, crows, magpies and pheasants on our maize field, i dont even bother walking it untill its cut! theres just to much cover! good luck with the new permission anyway!
  22. if you know its going to hit a vital IE heart/brain does it really matter wich you go for!? other than the meat thing....but if i cant see a bunnys head im not just going to let it go for another day!
  23. Dutch issue gore tex trousers :notworthy: hardest wearing waterproofs ive ever had, lasted me 3 yrs of tree surgery, hunting, hiking and biking!!! the guy at my army surplus recons they de-comission them by cutting them up now though!! if you find any send the details of the shop my way!!!!!
  24. near enough 12ft/lb for it to drop rats rabbits pigeons and squirrels, so its good enough for me!!!!!
