and its the gamekeepers income he buys the birds to rear and release so posh people can pay stupid amounts of money to shoot them I think chasing pheasants though the woods is great sport, who said anything about shooting them while sitting! and all the pheasants on one of my permissions are escaped birds from an estate down the hill a way, no-one else shoots that land and theres a good few,and breeding all the time. so why should i take the odd one for the pot with the air rifle (air rifles only permission) if its the right time of year. i would love to rough shoot it with the 12's and

we use a rigid bit, say copper pipe at the engine end(because of the heat) and a bit of hosepie so you can bend it into the sort of silly angles that the rats digs there holes, at the other end.

Fair play to the older, smaller fella! Like others have said he would have got a decking from me for jumping on the dog then laughing, what a twat! and kicking dogs is low, a certain white tracksuited lad of the asian persuasion ended up in the river mole for kicking my patt, while we were crayfishing, she was only a pup and jumped up to say hello! needless to say he wished he hadnt kicked her infront of me and 2 mates!!

You'd be guessing wrong. Benson is 100% English and resides in bluebell lakes if i'm not mistaken. Top looking common. ooo get you! it was only a guess anyway! ive never been into carp fishing, and never will be! just a stab in the dark! well done to you for knowing what fish it was Molie

Runforyourlife, and comanche. thanks for all the advice! the stretch isnt far from mickleham, upstream a few miles from there. i was planning on goin out this weekend but with shite weather and a stinking cold it wasnt to be! ill keep you informed about it all as and when it goes on!! planning doesnt come well to me so you'll just have to wait with baited breath, or hooks! Put extra 2-stroke oil in the mix, maybe a bit of diesel aswell, then she'll smoke like f**k, works for us! we use a combination of terriers and airguns, and the odd overkilled 12b rat! in the grain bins and roof spaces we use the airguns, outside and downstairs we use the dogs. both have they're place! went out last night, shot 4 rats up top in the bins, and the dog had 2 and a mouse downstairs!

im going to be fishing a stretch upstream from dorking, aparently no-ones fished there for a long while, so hopefully there could be some deep dark secrets in there somewhere, just a case of where! theres another stretch i would like to fish too but i think that would be a case of mackem style nocturnal fishing any tips on night pikeing, any point? cheers for all the help barbus and crew! River Mole mate, in surrey, tributary to the thames. any advice fortcoming ?! its fairly deep, fairly slow, with a weer aswell.

Ive recently obtained permission on a bit of water that holds quite a few pike, and apparently barbel aswell. ive never fished for either of these species, but ive done a fair bit of course and loads of sea fishing. i just wondered wether any of you guys had and good tips on rigs, techniques, line, lures etc etc. Any advice would be much aprectiated! thanks in advance Molie

My fave is the HW97k! but then i would say that! any of the names above would do the same job though to be honest. really its just a personal thing, and obviously money comes into it too! Ive allways liked the look of the Air Arms Pro Sport too, never had the chance to use one though

we just had the 2 terriers with us mate, ones mine, ones a mates and we both had them with us, not tied up. they dont wander too much so it was alright. the grub was goood bez mate!
