  1. Thanks for the collars Aaron, the service was excellent, even though i did forget to give you a return adress! I would hate to meet your Sewing Machine in a dark alley, you could tow trucks with these collars! :toast:
  2. No permission as yet, i will try these norica pellets, thought about .22 but might as well buy a catapult or throw stones instead. girlie calibre did you say MOLLY MOLLY  thanks come back when youve got some permission and tell me how 2 shoot......177 over penetrates, lead at the relatively slow speeds of an air rifle will NOT buckle or break up, most of the time (if you ever get a permission you might find out) if you dig a pellet out of a rabbit etc you could stick it back in the gun and do another with it, maybe a bit of "smearing" where its hit bone and that but p

  4. practice practice practice! they sell rabbits at petshops pretty cheap jokin aside, lots of targets, different ranges, partialy hidden behind stuff, and different heights etc etc etc, and see how many you can pop off in say a minute. get used to bringin the gun up, finding the sight picture/crosshair and fireing as quick as poss, accuratly! hope it helps! Molie
  5. caught his first rat yesterday!! we have ourselfs a worker! thank F**K!
  6. get yourself a multicatch humane trap for when your not watching!! oh and a waterbutt!!
  7. Is it April 1st already.....Grim...what are you doing, the skirt helps to seal the barrel and keep the power up, extra uneven barrel contact this way, flight pattern a joke, pellet almost guaranteed to tumble, and what's the accuracy like 6" out of the barrel!! Not to be recommended in any way!! Other than that probably great!! there was an article in airgunner or something which did a test of loads of hollow point (and backwards pellets) and im pretty sure they found the backwards superdome fairly accurate, maybe im dreaming though! dont knock it till youve tried it!!
  8. Ghillies surely you mean Ft/lbs not fps ? Ramcam, try norica killer pellets, they have a star shaped hollow point rather than round, allways wanted to try them for hunting but they only do .177, and ive only got .22, cant be doing with the "girly calibre", plus ive got fingers like sausages so the bigger pellet is harder 2 drop! got any permission yet ?
  9. I started mine as soon as she was allowed out after jabs on mice, moved onto rats a couple of months down the line, get yourself a live catch trap, get a rat in it, as soon as he shows interest let it go, and the rest is (or will be!) history! As for bushing, i just took her out with the air rifle, and she was holding down shot rabbits as big as her! now shes got the idea of smell theres no stopping her bushing!
  10. i have now come to know crawley as a bit of a mad place! nothing surprises me! i only commented on the dog cos the girl who had him was of the attractive persuasion! and she said, oh you can have it if you want! went down on sat to pick him up, and hes happy with RustyG now, hes making a big fuss of him as we speak! pretends to be a big hard lad untill he gets a mutt infront of him, turns him into a wimpering hussy!!
  11. looks like a good do mate, shame about the damage to the bitch, sounds like shes had a good run though.
  12. yeah tell me about it! he wont even see a lamp till next winter! poor lil bugger!
  13. Willow, although its known as a hardwood, is actualy very soft and snappy! if youre going to burn it it needs to be stored dry for a good while, but it burns like paper why dry. also on the thing about them being very hardy, if we leave a pile of willow logs in the yard, they will grow! ash is the best firewood, wet or dry, kicks out heat and doesnt spit. our 2 woodstoves heat our whole house, water, central heating. but they do burn alot! kinda helpfull being a tree surgeon!!
  14. :notworthy: :D :clapper: its actualy a stump grinder at my works yard, hope your not calling me a gypsy ?! :nea:
  15. This is turbo, my hunting buddys new mutt, hes 5months. we picked him up yesterday from a loveley german girl called Mel , she lives in a large town (crawley) and is moving to london soon, so she couldnt take the dog with her, she was very upset, but knows its best for the dog! Just wondering what you all think ?! Molie

  19. well think about it, a v-mach tuned hw97k, with all the bells and whistles (ie scope, sunshade, mounts, probably spirit level, sniper turrets, bipod, trigger shoe etc etc) is going to be a fair few quid, and then a HW100 with all afformentioned bells and whistles....i could quite happily spend that on 2 setups, easy! not that i have got it!!
  20. "hw97k v-mach and hw100t" i dont think he meant £180.....
  21. ill do you a camping, shooting etc holiday on one of my permissions for sumwhere in the region of ooooo, say.....£1800, for the weekend.... :clapper:
  22. it wouldnt stay that shiny for long round these parts.....
