  3. for consultancey i think you need a proffesional diploma in arboriculture, tough tough course, for the test they can litteraly ask you about ANY aspect of treework, good money though ( a good friend of mine is a consultant for insurance companys and hes on 300 a day, and if he climbs a tree its another 300 on top! not bad goin for being a washed up climber
  4. if youve got the relevent qualifications (NPTC certification) theres no drama finding work, specially down here, surrey is the most tree covered county in england (dont quote me on that!) you start off doing the grunting, then you can move on to work for local authority as tree officer, or consultant(big money!) atb Molie!
  5. The job is tree surgeon but bassed on a farm, ive worked there for 5 years, getting a bit stale, boss phoned me today offering the job back with more money etc etc (im fairly good at what i do ) free time is evenings and weekends, loooots of game on the ground!!! ATB Molie

  14. The bull whippet is coming on nicely, hes a few months younger than mine but showing excellent potential, the guy who owns him wants to put him over a whippet bitch (when hes done some proper work, and stayed at it) because hes just that bit too heavy and short in the leg, if it does happen, ill be having one of the pups for sure!!

  16. Just back from ratting this evenening, dogs sniffing around bales as usual, there wasnt much going on and it was getting dark, we went to leave and noticed my patt wasnt about but we could hear her baying steadily under part of the stack that had fallen over. it was no rat either! to cut a long story short we shifted a few bales and got to a point where we could see the dog, with the fox wedged right into a tiny crack, going nowhere! pulled the dog out, dispatched it with the .410 job done! its her first proper go on a fox aswell, shes 14 months old, im chuffed!! <----her earlier today
  17. Far better eating than rabbits in my view, provided you can get past the tree rats bit?? By the way the Canadians love'em Its much better than rabbit, shame theres not much meat on one, you need 5-6 for a good meal
