Thanks for the replys. Lads that knew the boys i will get in touch. I am one of the lucky ones, when we left the place we were that morning i sat into waynes car as one of the other irish boys was driving my car, how ironic is this, tommy and wayne told me to get into my car and make sure the lad dosent mess about in it on the way home, we both pulled out the car park, we took one road they took another and here we are today. Cheers ladys and gents, its nice to no there still remembered.

Today is the seventh anniversary of my best mate and 4 of my mates, they were tragically taken from us when we were returnin home from one of our annual trips to the midland game fair. A brief candle; both ends burning An endless mile; a bus wheel turning A friend to share the lonesome times A handshake and a sip of wine So say it loud and let it ring We are all a part of everything The future, present and the past Fly on proud bird You're free at last. R.I.P Tommy Bacon Wayne O brien Dave Bidal Dean Connor Egg Farrell. All goog dogmen that im sure will n

My thoughts are with Darren Sutherlands family tonight, 27 is a young age, he had a good future and done Ireland proud at the olympics getting a bronze.

Hang on your saying I shouldnt of said what I said? So somebody else cant learn from his mistake? The most probable reason why you think this forum has gone s h it is because people like you slating people who have an opinion. He said he didnt like the way they were treated and got a relative to pick the dog up later, if I got treated wrongly that way I would of turned away. Its now the dog that is suffering and I hope he gets better. The best you can do is make him as comfortable as possable and make sure he is eating and drinking. Yes the dogs the one suffering and what did you do

There like all dogs, some are good some are useless. Im lucky to have run a few, train greyhounds and always seem to have a bitch not good enough for the track that ye can mess about with workin, to be honest if they were as good as what people make out what would be the need to cross them?? However if more people tried them properly there would be alot more decent lurchers out there, just because its a greyhound dosent mean its worthy of breeding a lurcher imo.

Whats the point in slating the lad, its done, he put the dog in kennells and the dog has cough, thats why this site is gone to s h i t lately everyone voicing their opinions of the owners when the dogs in need of some help. This is something ive used and it really does work well. Get a bottle of honey, glycerine and lemon from your chemist, add to this a cap full of TCP and shake well, give a 5 ml syringe to the dog 3 times a day for aslong as is needed, also if the dog is in a kennel get some large onions(spanish) and roughly chop them up put them in the net and hang in the sleeping quat

It wont matter if ye tape it up, if there pulling up hard or turnin sharp they will still split it under the bandadge. I always use vaseline on mine when they do it, its not a life threatning injury and to be honest a dog has them for a reason so if you can leave it on do. Plaster the stopper and all around it with vaseline after each run and the dog will be ok to run in the comp in my opinion.

Any of them boys on the list do a sterling Job, ive used them all over the years.

I use what ever there feeding on, live bait, at the minute there feeding Ragworm, but ive had good success with black lug and combos of different cocktails. I dont weigh them mate so bein honest i couldnt tell you, at a guess it wouldnt of been far off four LB which is perfect for eathin imo, hard to fit in the pan and any bigger is to big.

Bob ye would be suprised how many decent wheaten type lurchers there are in ireland mate, there not only a luchermans dog but alot of terrier men like them to. But like all types there they also throw up the bad ones and like any terrier type lurcher they can be head strong but in the right hands they make top class working dogs imo.
-
looks like deerhound x to me mate i had a halfxwheaten about 15 years ago came from ireland and was from good stuff,he was a good dog but liked to fight to much and would course other dogs and was so placed with people but was a liabily with any animal it got near including dogs would run into fences and often would try and jump through windows,he broke his neck in the end at about 2years old,ive never seen another for years i think there far to fiery and to game to be a good allrounder, but if you hunt alone with no other dogs they are A1,maybe the show ones are less mad but the trial line whe
