  9. What a miserable day for the end of the season; strong winds and pouring rain.......covered a massive area of woodland and farmland, but not a trail found!! Took the whippet and the terrier along, the whippet is only 10 months old so it was a bit of socialising for him. Saw plenty of red deer and at one point got a bit to close for comfort.....nearly got knocked down by a stag smashing through the woods; these things can really jump.......this one lept into a holly bush where it beached itself momenterally, also saw plenty of hare too. All in all a nice day out, with good company and love

We have an 800 head dairy farm and had 100+ cows go 5 years ago, since then weve been tb free for only a few months. As we have had it before, we are tested on a severe reading which means anything suspect goes....which means we are unable to sell current stock. Alot of the cows that have been diagnosed as 'tb reactors'...., when autopsied had no signs of tb, its beggining to become a numbers game with us...we have so many cows that are under alot of stress anyway...something is going to react!! 17. i was only thinking about this the other day.......would be interested on seeing peoples thoughts. I reckon worker to worker is always a winner if you can get it, Workers that do WELL generally have enough pace ect to get the job done. Would there be a benifit of having bull blood in the x? worker to worker whip/grey should be game enough IMO. Regards DG

Ive not got any tales myself as blues still a pup, but do you guys have any tales of your lurchers or terriers over the years of work, inventing new strategies to get to its quarry.........like anticipating a rabbits run....not following it directly....and cutting corners? Does a dog that knows its job learn how to do it better and adapt new ways to do this? DG
