  2. i have a 7 month old deerhound x who is in great condition but seems to have some sort or dandruff or something when i brush back long hair there is a layer of short thick hair like cotton wool or something and there is white flakes there and its starting to move down his back ( its between his shoulder blades at the moment).. its not very bad but i would rather he didnt have it..he is sleeping on rubber matting with another shorthaired dog who is fine.. is it just the deerhound in him or is it a condition of some sort.. any info would be appriecated thanks..

Just wonderin what ye think of this..which would be better for a dogs fitness to take them walking for 4-5 miles or to leave two dogs run and chase each other a football pitch around until they are both tired.. the pitch seems to work diffrent muscles when they turn fast and take off with a burst when they are chasing each other.. any thoughts on it.. nice one..

  14. there a good dog.. my fella is about 23.. some dont like them and others swear by them.. once they have some bit of speed or are running with a faster dog to turn the fox you should be grand.. have a fairly hard mouth on rabbits though..

  17. how're now.. wheres the best place to buy wire could anyone tell me i know there are a few shit hot snarers out there so please let me know.. how much would i need to make 100-150 snares.. tried gameandcountry.info but couldnt find anything.. thanks..
  18. thats nasty alright.. if you have your dog insured do you have to have him licencesed aswell.. and if you made a claim would you not be investigated about animal cruelty if it was for example a fox that did the damage..

Hello lads i rang up a gunsmith today to see about my first air rifle and he told me that i wouldnt have muchof a chance of getting one because it was the same licence for a real rifle? he said that he does not know anyone under twenty with one.. does anyone know what the story is there.. by the way im in ireland so i presume the laws would be diffrent here.. thanks..John
  20. i use a striker 170 but as somebody said they are heavy on batterie.. i have a 17 amp gel batterie and it doesnt last long.. tokk two 17 amp batteries on me back one night so i could lamp a bit longer and i swear its no joke on rough ground with.. got a fox that night so it was worth my while..
  21. hows th goin... could any one tell me how does the big wire hoop stuck into the ground work.. i only ever tied my snares to bushes and fences..i used to make them about 3 to 4 ft long and just tie them that way but yesterday i cut up about 4 snares and made 25 of the ones with a peg and tealer..i was wasting a lot of wire i suppose.. just back from cutting pegs in a valley down the road and im goin out to set some 'peg and tealer' style.. i would appriecate any info or pics on making snares and buying wire too if any one can help me.. thanks alot lads..john..
