  1. I guess that just confirms what I`d first thought. here is a link to the `10mm at 50yds` http://www.airgunforum.net/agf/index.php?showtopic=41375 The 2nd story .. you`ll just have to take my word on that one .. like I had to take the word of my friend .. who had to take the word of his freind .. who had to... Thanks all.
  2. Thanks both. I too asked was he confusing yards with feet .. and got a definite no - def yards! I guess some airgunners tell the same tales fishermen are infamous for. What size targets and ranges are the top FT shooters getting?
  3. I think people today are too obsessed with long range shooting .. what ever happened to the field craft when you had to sneak up to within 25-35yds maximum .. and at this range I`d argue the .22 is as accurate as a .177 at legal limits. .22 for me .. even the best shooter can`t place every shot perfect .. and the extra hitting power of the .22 will stop them better than a misplaced .177.
  4. Would anybody care top give an opinion and vote on two airgun stories I read/heard about this week. I find both stories extremes to what I would ever imagine myself being able to produce. I read the `10mm at 50yds` on an airgun forum and the `head shot at 80yds` off a friend in work. 1st story. A guy wrote he’d achieved 10mm groupings on a paper target in wind and heavy rain with an unmodified hw80 in .177. 2nd story. A friend in work told me he has a friend who knows a friend that can consistently get rabbits at 80yds with headshots with a legal limit PCP .177, he added this fell
