    I thought i would start a thread about "monsters" caunght from unexpected places. My first story is about a short day session i was on the upper upper severn, just below Welshpool..... The river is shallow and rippy this far up, i was having a punt for some Grayling and Chub just bumping a worm. Bang, small Chub after a couple of minutes, brill might be in for a few fish today... Another worm go's in Bang this one pulls back two or three minutes of agro and i have a P.B. Bream in the net 8 1/2 lb Amazing. Next put in bang another one an even bigger Bream this one goes over 10l

    Excellent book, lots of other plants there to try as well as fungi! I lent mine to someone who obviously liked it so much he kept it! Pity I can't remember who I lent it to! Thanks for that Lads just got it off Amazon for £1.04p Bargain!!!!!!!!

    LAST YEAR ON AN OVERNIGHT CARPING TRIP I FOUND A CAN OF ALL DAY BREAKFAST IN MY BAG IT WAS 5 YEARS OUT OF DATE BUT I WAS STARVING AND ATE IT AND IT WAS PERFECT. NO SPLATS THE NEXT DAY OR ANYTHING.........

    I have a TF Gear X seris landing net, which i use for my carp fishing, its a lot like the Greys net but a little cheaper. I have a link for you if you are interested...

    Squid is a good basic bait, and cheap.... Most things will have a nibble on it, i did really well with it last year in Ilfracombe Harbour.

    Eel baits Went out on opening day on the rivers monday and i accidently caught 7 Eels all over a pound biggest went to just about two pounds and all came to double white maggot on a feeder set up.
