  8. well I took the plunge and let the wife get me these boots......... first impressions................., I thought they looked better quality in the photos of them on the net, than what they actually do in the flesh, struggling to work out in my head whether they are worth the £250 price tag on them, but i'm sure I will get over it........lol I thought that the lace links would have been of a better design, because the ones on these look like lace shredders with the sharpish edges on them, whether this is the case or not I am yet to find out.........and also the two leather flaps on the sid
  9. this is my biggest concern.......I don't want the aggro of sending them back if they are not the perfect fit, which is going to be a bit awkward because there isn't anywhere near to me that I know of that stocks this particular boot.........

  11. at the end of the day, we're all in it for the same reasons............but being able to give someone else that helping hand, or share experiences and generally spend time with like minded people is rewarding in itself..........fair play and much respect to the guys your talking about, a lot more like these are needed, instead of the idiots that are in and out of it after they've created a storm or got bored........ all the best, jay.

  14. am I right in thinking you can test the thermostat in the house when you take it out of the vehicle and put it in boiling water ???
  15. just a thought and i'm no mechanic or specialist and could well be talking nonsense, but......thermostat could be faulty or airlock in water system or possibly a problem with heater matrix..... all the best, jay.

  20. I think the ones I was looking at ranged from £190 to £240 off the top of my head...... I looked at this particular brand because I've heard of a few people rating them for quality and durability, any info I can get is much appreciated, as I don't want to dive in and spend the money if they are not what they are bigged up to be, at the moment and for the past 10 to 12 years I have been wearing Lowas, but fancy a change. cheers, jay. .

  23. if I go away lamping I usually take a striker with a 12v 17ah battery and that more or less does what I want in a night , but always carry a spare battery because you never know........., but was thinking of getting one of these rechargeable lamps just to go for a walk local to me without carrying all the excess.........
