  10. i wonder if its a hob thing....... .some will some wont..........., all the ones i've heard of have been hobs.........strange that. i suppose the main thing is......as long as they do the job they are kept for, and you are happy with the way they work, it does'nt really matter what they eat, only downside is it can be quite costly feeding dry all the time.
  11. i got a hob ferret here, and he refuses to eat fresh rabbit whenever i put it in there for him, have'nt tried him with anything else, but i can leave a piece of rabbit in there for a day or two, thinking when he's hungry he will eat it, but so far he's proved me wrong, strange i think........having a vegetarian ferret....lol, but when i put dried food in there he soon tucks into it, must be something to do with giving them james welbeloved dry food, or any other dried food come to think of it, because one or two friends have experienced this in the past, all the best, jay.
  12. no disrespect to you....but how would you know how good your bedlington terrier worked????? you would have only been 5 year old, judgeing by your date of birth......just curious thats all...... all the best, jay. ive been around working dogs all my life mate-the dog was taken digging every week in season on real quarry not rabbits, with my oldman and uncles, went everywhere with me when i was growing up.Stalking through peoples profiles- sad dont you think?worry only about your own dogs mukka-did you ever go digging before the act?have dogs in my kennels that had a good 3/4 sea
  13. why dont you get yourself down to the army and navy surplus shop, and get yourself a cammo army jacket, plenty of pockets in them, quite large too, i use one of these jackets, you should be able to pick one up for around £15 or £20 quid, so it doesnt break the bank balance, and serves a purpose well in my opinion, all the best, jay.

    My Pigs!

How though?, he reared then got them legally slaughtered so no cruelty involved perhaps its because they didnt have a plastic wrapper on them, and a best before date........lol cracking job jai......cant beat a bit of self sufficiency all the best, jay.
  15. at the moment i only run one, but looking to bring in another one in the near future......whether it be a pup from proven working stock, or breed my bitch to keep a pup back, i think two lurchers is the ideal amount for anyone to keep......obviously depending on how much work you have for them, the second one comes in handy, especially when the other one has picked up an injury and is in the sick bay, at least you can still get out and have a run with the spare dog......... all the best, jay.

  20. i've got british boots which are gortex and a copy of the lowa's........and i've also got a pair of the lowa's, and the lowa's are by far a better boot, in my opinion, and they are the ones i also tend to favour when going out, and another good pointer of the lowa's is.... they are quick to lace up, the british boots have got to be threaded through the lace loops right to the top, which i consider a bit of a pain,as i said.....just my personal preference and opinion. cheers, jay.
