Tunny,nets are 100 metres,3-5/8 mesh which have a depth of 14 foot when rigged,got them so big as an insurance,we intend to put them off the beach,and set them from a mates RIB,used nets a lot when I lived in the north-east for salmon and sea-trout,this is my first year fishing for bass,but as the actress said to the bishop"Better too big than too small" I will post some pics when I have caught in them
  2. Eaten rat in China,Vietnam etc I attend the world cockfighting championships every year in the Philippines,saw STAR meat on a backstreet foodstall,"Whats STAR meat?"Read it backwards,yup,you guessed it,that accounted for the small pile of ratskins dumped in the nearby gutter
  3. Yup,the beaches I intend to fish shelve steeply off,nice fish,what weight were they?Have to admit,I prefer cod to bass,beautiful looking and tasting fish

Tigers,scary fish mate,seen a few brought in with the nets,based in Hong Kong for years,regular as clockwork one would come each season and take a few swimmers/divers,authorities brought in Vic Hislop from Australia,he failed to catch the fish but stated it was a migratory shark which would most probably continue to pick off a bather or two annually as it came up the coast on its migration route,like I said,scary fish How much did your trip cost?How much for the charter?

Amen to that,any of you watch the World Taxidermy Championship on TV last year?Held in the states it attracted entrants from worldwide,british guy entered a stone curlew the program showed a 9 year old cute little american girl shooting her own deer then mounting and entering the entire animal the quality of the exhibits was outstanding

Greatest fear woke up next to a BIG,lets stress that again BIG,fat bird one morning,scared the life out of me later as I realised I was letting my standards slip(living in sunderland at the time,I didnt have any choice,the quality of birds just wasnt there )my greatest fear was having a groundhog day and repeating the performance

Thanks for that Hh,would appreciate the outfitters details Coincidental that you mentioned Maine,I had earmarked 2 guiding services,one was Black Bay Outfitters in Saskatchewan with an excellent track record of P&Y sized bears,the other was a Maine outfit Foggy Mountain Guide Service who operate out of Sebec,Maine.Downloaded the Fish and Game statistics,Maine has a black bear population of approx 24000 .   19. Hornhunter,you ever encounter Cougar or Bear?Ever hunted either of them?I was supposed to be doing a guided bowhunt for one of them this year in either the states or Canada,but domestic stuff overrode the plan(still going fishing in Thailand though )hope to book for the 2007 season now
