  1. Its not absolute rubbish at all artic,I have seen it with my own eyes,I dont hate the police,I just think the force needs a good shake up and the quality of recruits needs to be upgraded,if theres no egotistical officers in the force how do you account for the attitudes of certain officers and the horror-stories of police beatings that leak out occassionally?
  2. River Thames, from Hampton Court up to Maidenhead, long stretch but so many decent places to fish,I prefer targeting trout however, and the best river for those is the test, great fishing, and packed with good sized brownies and grayling.
  3. Looking good fireman, hopefully I will see one of them in the flesh fairly soon
  4. Lots of incidences of coppers treating humans worse than they treat those dogs, now and again you get an insight into how the police machine really works and someone discretely videos a copper punching, kicking,or indiscriminately lashing out in temper, plain and simple, some go into the force for the ego trip and the sense of power they could never achieve in civvy street
  5. Most omniverous race on the planet, seen them eat some bizzare dishes in the past, civet cat was quite expensive over there, and we used to live near a snake-soup restaurant with tight-weave wire-mesh baskets of cobras stacked outside on the pavement each day, wouldnt discount it,but I know lots of chinese living here in the UK,several of whom are restauranteurs, and cant imagine them paying £40 for a fox,but stranger things have happened
  6. Colour-coded penile-girth vacuum seals

POOR SOLE Looks like a 'dab' hand. Kev. I am flounder'ing for an answer to that
  9. They think they are Nico Toscani(above the law)most need stringent psychological and psychometric tests,no one can argue there are some genuine knuckle-draggers in the force, who will guard the guards
  10. I just think the buck was a little rut-crazed,I wouldnt know about "Bummed"
  11. I read the story in a bowhunting mag,he was hunting during the rut and had smothered himself in doe oustrus scent.
  12. Who said money doesnt grow on trees
  13. Wasnt in the 's artic, and these arent in a boot, but they do prove whippets have their uses
  14. This times the exception I will stick some pics up next week that prove whippets can catch the odd rabbit or two on rough ground, picture speaks a 1000 words
  15. JPT,you live in a gret area for whippets, someone will take you out, base your choice on that
  16. Ah,glad thats sorted then,so you werent speaking from long-standing practicalities but from the odd occassion out with whippets?Hate to reiterate, ounce of practical is better than a ton of theory
  17. Thats better artic, earlier when you said your always practical I was expecting you to stick a pic up of your whippet I thought you must have had or worked one, thats what I meant by an ounce of practical beats a ton of theory Anyone can theorise, but its only those who have actually owned or worked a whippet who can actually speak from experience
  18. Mack, as you know, I've done a bit, (and still do!!!), around Northumberland, and before I got the wander lust, it was the ONLY place I worked my dogs, which at the time were predominately Whippets; if they could handle this ground, they could handle owt !!! LOL !!! Cheers. Its true Charts, northumberland is hard ground, its not easy
  19. My mistake, when you said "Pocket" and beddie I mistook it for a "Poachers-pocket" as I have seen several which looked like bedlington crosses
  20. say that again sorry i dont get you? x What exactly constitutes a "Poachers-pocket" lurcher?
  21. How much are poachers-pocket chris? Is it just a first cross or bedlington/lurchersX bedlington/lurchers linebred?
  22. Not archives mate, just some very small dogs with a few rabbits
  23. Patley bridge in yorkshire?Cant imagine your area is any different, certainly havent seen anywhere in your county I wouldnt feel confident in running a dog.Give me a few days,I have some negatives of my first dogs up in the loft, let me get hard copy from them, whippet types that we all had as kids,I have a decent pic of a few rabbits they caught over a couple of nights on really hard ground in northumberland, never got a nick, scratch, nor mark on them, they werent pure whippets, just sold as whippets But an ounce of practical is worth a ton of theory
  24. Which part of the north was the guy from who sent his whippet back up?
