Correct,I am not christian There used to be a beautiful marshy area on the side of a stream,always held woodcock during hard weather,I think I was about 12 or 13,it was with a webley Vulcan Mk1,there was thick snow on the ground,I spotted it because of its beautiful limpid eye,open sights,end of story,beautiful looking bird Lamlash bay was on TV last night,wild looking place

First time I ever tried spinning/plugging for pike I spent £60 on lures,certain that one of these creations would catch a fish,the water was gin-clear,I was looking at pike on station beside reed-beds and working the lures past their noses,no interest whatsoever,went upstream near the weir,silted coloured water,first cast and a 2lb jack struck,is there any hard-and-fast rules?
