  1. Lower-feltham down near the remand center, plenty of places to shoot pigeon, duck, and rabbits
  2. Done that already,carbide-bombs,PE,and divers-recalls,all in the past however
  3. Tried to snare a pike four times, persistance is my one virtue,I will get one Just phoned the far-east about some fishing-equipment,doing some research I think I am going to get it a lot cheaper than my eastern-europe purchase
  4. Hope the world ends,I went out earlier today and splashed the last of my cash on alcohol-fuelled fornication
  5. I guessed you were impressed Not exactly chalk-stream fishing nor ye-olde worlde english-village
  6. I might stick something in his banana-mash next time
  7. Nice amd cute for everyone else, sees me and goes bananas bares his teeth and makes scary noises The one time he never launched himself at my face was when I wore wrap-around sunglasses, scary little git
  8. It always gets excited when it sees me and jumps the length of its chain at my face
  9. Tarsiers aint ugly mate, far, far cuter that an Ai-ai,I had 12 of them on my shoulders and arms a few years ago, each about the size of an orange, the kids wanted me to get them one and bring it home I have a pic on Disc somewhere,I will stick it up when I find it The mother-in-law has a monkey that hates me and jumps at my face
  10. Holiday home for you BRB?Its called Frankland mate, beautiful big building in Durham, hundreds of rooms, got an en-suite reserved just for you on a ten-year lease
  11. Malt,I actually had one draw blood,I caught it on a rafter on the stairs, looking at it,loose-grip,it grabbed my knuckle and started to gnaw Have you heard them scream at night?Imagine a dozen in a three bedroom-house calling each other, time to get out the monofilament snares and a slim bamboo cane
  12. Seen the terracotta army mate, somehow I dont think its in the same league as cage-diving,seen one ancient chinese warrior ya seen them all Are they in the British Museum at the moment? For an exhibition?
  13. Thats on my "Must do" list, have you seen the perspecs cages some dive-boats are using in SA?Theres also an awesome though expensive cage-diving live-aboard in Cali taking divers out to the Farralons ,the holy-grail for great-whites
  14. We have tokay-geckos running around our holiday-home,I have spent many an evening watching them stalk, catch, and eat the smaller household geckos which hang around the florescent lights, but its almost impossible for visitors to sleep due to their incredible call, scares the wits out of first-timers as they dont know whats making the call
  15. I might have posted it actually mate Looks like one of those crappy A-4 instructional sheets I have crammed in a drawer somewhere I have never paid a fiver for a few fish, wouldnt pay a fiver for a hundred to be honest,I would rather catch them myself I still have to snare a f***ing pike yet
  16. Beautiful chameleon, never seen one that vivid before,I had some dirty brown ones in my arm years ago, they were selling them in the souk in Marakkesh for two quid each
  17. Wife used to have a tarsier, worlds smallest primate and purportedly Spielbergs inspiration for "Gremlins"
  18. Lead-line wouldnt sink it quickly enough Maty,my original one weighs an absolute ton,I wouldnt like to be throwing it all day,I have an old netting book somewhere showing a pattern for cast nets I am surprised most pike-anglers dont have a small 6ft one in their bag, throw in a slice of bread, wait 5,cast out, voila, enough livebait for a days session. This guy has an awesome technique,I might practice this actually, look at the perfect text-book spread, wouldnt you just like to be the one on the front of that skiff on a balmy florida evening, some people live the life mate
  19. It was an accidental rhetorical piss-take,the easiest ones to forgive Thats all those bayers do mate, order in bulk from the manufacturer and add on a massive mark-up because the UK market accepts it,they are handy, certainly worth a tenner, but 65 quid is a bigger piss-take than my accidental rhetorical one
  20. Every single method has pros and cons Maty, but the ultimate?Only pros as far as I have found Every waded through a trout stream scanning the water?Seen nothing?the stretch is empty right?WRONG!They are still there mate, under the banking,in the weed,in holes, and you KNOW theres only one way to get them out,to get them to come to you like the rats followed the pied-piper,like iron-filings to a magnet (Had to edit this, theres three ways actually, but two are very destructive). Sure the guy had a visual on the school,he is following it down the pier casting over them, like I said though, have you
  21. You can also target individual fish Malt, which is what we used to do when lamping canals etc, takes 10 maybe 15 minutes to learn how to cast a net,its east to perfect, and you have a useful weapon in your armoury for fish re-location Best thing about this method is a simple shake,2 or 3 seconds and the nets empty and ready top re-cast
  22. Flog the rod and tackle on silkie-row bank or in the echo, you can get 100 yards gill for less than a one'r We are fishing up there in two weeks,do they still do the fishing reports in the back pages of the echo?Tuesday nights?
