I eat them,beaten into a scrambled egg,really nice,eaten them raw loads of times,but most people buy them for fishing bait,fish go mad for them,great bait.

I saw an advert a few years back for some bait place wanting a hundred pounds of salmon eggs for the salmon run,loads of people sell skeins of roe.

Thanks Stav,that’s going to have real character when it’s finished. Potato and leek soup is improved with the addition of Hare,my nana used to make it,her version was hare and leek soup but it always had tatties in it.

The eggs are worth more than the fish to be honest mate,they would rather carry a bucket of eggs back to their truck to sell than a load of fish.

@Leo Sayer have you bought any arrows from China?I was in Bass Pro earlier for some bowstring wax and had a look at some of the carbons,you can get them for less than a quid from China,are the tolerances the same?
