That one was near the Weybridge to shepperton ferry,its only the past couple of years I have heard of seals that far up the river.

Between Walton bridge and weybridge,the footage I snatched the pic off shows it eating a carp.

I have done a bit of time-lapse footage with my GoPro tilly but my DSLR was better,if your going down the GoPro route to film the disassembly save yourself a few dollars and buy a generic action-camera GoPro,there’s loads of different types nowadays.

I have seen pics of one eating a nice sized carp,and have also seen a pic of one seal dead on the edge of the river,i screenshotted it,I will stick the pic up later when I get back home.

100% there was seals in the river where I live 4 months ago when I left the UK,I saw them a couple of times.

Been up to where my lady is from,people having a dip in a plunge pool on the river at -20,I put my hand in and lost the feeling in my fingers,my Mrs said its not bad once your in.Theres a skating rink on the edge of the river for kids to practice at night after school with little solar lights,people have cleared the snow to make skating lanes,someones put a bench on the ice to rest on with a note asking for it to be put up on the bank in the spring,my lady used to skate to school and enjoys all this. The only people I have ever met who actually enjoy this level of cold are nordic,Russian -
If you do try it pop into a local store and grab a set of ice-claws,cost you a tenner sterling,could save your life,get a plastic whistle also,each year in Canada and the states on average 250 people die from going through the ice,don't be a statistic.

I could imagine everyone just gets on mate,I haven't netted like that,but I have fished streams where people are packed into pools when the fish are piling up,even my lady hooked one at the end of the clip (she had quite a few thatcday).
