used to live in leadhills in lanarkshire a good few yerar ago/when i stayed i there they had the world gold panning championship event.was good to watch.there was an old guy who lived in te neigbouring village who panned the streams.he had a little glass vile filled with gold he had found.took him years i think for what he had.but hey golds gold eh lolnever actually tried it myself but was good to witness.

Googled it ran it through Snopes and Fatcheck and the iincedent you are refering to is nonexistant.... well i dont know where you checked by i assure you on my fathers grave that incident did happen.it was in the papers a few year back.i wouldnt make up stuff to discredit you mate.not my style.the lad was from aberdeen and the home owner wasnt prosecuted if i remmber right.

I remember a few years back of a scottish student from aberdeen in texas.he got lost and ended up in a subarban area in texas.he went to the door of this house and knocked on the door.the homeowner decided it was best not to answer the door and shot the lad thriugh the door killing him dead.now was that in your opinion the students fault for doing something totally crazy like knocking on a door asking for directions.i mean how silly of the lad.
