  3. Looks great, how much did the full set up cost?
  4. Finally got around to putting my NV onto my 22-250 for foxing. As ever it did the job very nicely....well worth spending the extra money.
  5. If you want to have ago with the 22-250 sometime then let me know and we can sort something out.
  6. If you want a close up then here it is !
  7. The 22-250 certainly packs the punch I hoped it would have and I like not having to really think about holdover....just point and aim upto 300 yards!
  8. Sounds like you had a great night aswell then... I hope there are plenty more to come!
  9. I like it....do you have their number? or do I just pray for one lol !
  10. Went out tonight originally to get some rabbits with the .22lr but it was chucking it down so I thought I would head down to the other farm where the farmer said he had a problem with a dog fox near the free range chicken shed and sit with the 22-250. Being still relatively new to lamping foxes I thought I would chance my luck and parked up about a 100yards from the shed (which is built in a large hollow) with a good elevated view of both sides. I hoped the fox would appear before the light went but it didn't and eventually after an hour of waiting and the light had finally disappeared I
  11. I came across a website High Racks that had these platforms and I wondered if anyone had either bought something similar here in the Uk or had built their own one (if so please upload some pics).
  12. Brilliant idea....might just give that a go also.
  13. No opinions ......I take it they are no good then lol !
  14. I have downloaded the cotton tail calls, the rodent squeaker and the high pitch call from the Varmint Al website. Has anyone had much success using these to call in foxes? Your opinions please!
  15. Some FLO's are more helpful and realistic than others so give him a ring and mention your options, he is the one you need to get to approve it. When I moved last year to a new build kit house I was worried about my options and they FLO was great he was a realist and was happy for it to be bolted to floor joists in the loft.
  16. welcome, look forward to some interesting posts and photos!
  17. The rifle is a Howa 1500 PES moderator Konus Pro 8-32x52 scope
  18. I bought the 810f wildfowler when they first came out and it was ok at first but then developed problems cycling the cartridges, so not really that impressed. I gather they have improved them since then and hopefully other feedback is better.
  19. Sometimes I use the Breda semi-auto 20 bore but can be a pain trying to find your spent cases so often use the 12 bore with 28g or 32g cartridges (just depends what is to hand) we just use the rabbits for feeding the ferrets so doesn't really matter if they are a bit mushy!
  20. Just as we were finishing up rabbit shooting at 2am and were literally leaving the farm my mate flicked the lamp round one last time and spotted this fox and we nailed it at about 180yds with the new rifle. Good end to the night.
