    In my opinion .177 as it has a flatter trajectory and you don't have to guess about holdover as much as you would with a .22 and in my opinion that makes it more forgiving with accuracy, but accuracy for the shot placement for a clean kill becomes more important. Get some prometheus pellets and get blasting .

    I was real tempted to go out tonight solo with the shotgun, had a plan worked out n all GO on then, at least your getting action at the moment. I went out last night and saw bugger all apart from a few miserable rabbits.!

    If you are looking at upto £300 then try getting a Yukon Digital Ranger 5X42. Does the job well for under £150 from Conrad electronics www.uk1.conrad.com This is great for spotting upto a couple of hundred yards, and being digital has the added advantage that is can be used in ordinary light without knackering it.

    Try getting a couple of battery powered pecking decoys to add a bit of movement and realism to the pattern. I have a rotary but to be honest I find that I get just as much success without it.

    I have not had the opportunity to shoot one that close, sounds great! You should have saved the bullet and just speared it with those sticks.

    If you a definitely going to use a shotgun then better to go for either a double barrel or a semi-auto. But if it is a cas of someone has a mega cheap single barrel then why not give it a go. How much is it going to cost you?

    I treated myself to a Yukon Digital Ranger NV Monocular so when me and my mate are out foxing both get to see what the other can see with the NV on the rifle and both get to see the kill.

    I would second that.....It follows the saying 'buy cheap you buy twice'! save yourself the misery bite the bullet and spend a little extra.....why take the chance?

    Probally insulation then a membrane , then brick. Easier to fix to the floor and less likely to compromise your NHBC!

    I had 3 cabinets checked that way....just stuck his head in the loft and that was it lol!....I did hear of another one locally that the bugger was swinging off it with all his might!..I guess I got lucky.

    I had the same problem. Coach screws will be fine. You may find you need to drill a couple of extra holes in the back of the cabinet to ensure you get enough solid fixings on the rafters. Lets face it by the time it takes someone to break into my house (without my two neighbours who are policemen,get past the dog, get into the loft, break into the cabinet, then lets face it they bloody deserve them after all the effort lol!

    If you do a bit of research you will probablly find that they are both made in the same factory in Turkey. I have a webley 810f wildfowler and I believe at that time they came from Turkey, hence this explains why it is useless! lol!
