    Usually I make sure they are no where the public will find them and leave them for nature to take its course and become part of the food chain for other animals/birds. I also know a guy who takes them to feed the vulchers at his bird of prey centre

    I used to do some clay pigeon instructing up at my local clay shoot and got a call from my mate who ran it one day to see if I was free to take out Tori Spelling (of 90210 fame ) and her hubby Dean to do some shooting for their TV show 'Tori & Dean Inn love' for their visit to Scotland. Sad to say that bit of filming never was showed.....maybe cos she was absolutely useless lol!

    All I can say is that if you are a shooter it is not worth the effort! Not a single shotgun or rifle in sight! If you want to see a stand telling you how to remove ticks or want to join NOBs or speak to a bloke who has some leaflets about the benefits of eating venison brilliant! There was literally two stands with shooting accessories a few stands with clothes and loads of 4x4 ATVs that most of us can't afford to buy anyway cos the wife would go fecking mental!

    Yep they are good but remember you may still need other callers in your kit. If you call a fox it should come in but if you miss your shot next time it will run as soon as it hears the same call. Also hope no-one nearby to you uses them lol! Good luck.

    To answer your questions : 1. At that price that was not a bad price as they cost about £570 new. 2. Any good?....depends....they are gen 1 ie best suited for rabbits and rats. You would be disappointed if you wanted to use it for foxingat distances of 100 yards plus. Bite the bullet and spend on Gen 2+ or you will be disappointed in the long run!

    Buy a laser simply because sooner or later you will upgrade your NV and at that point you will end up needing a laser. You may not want to spend the extra cash but look at it as money well spent that will last years!

    Lol! I spoke to a mate of mine tonight and he said he went last year and it took him longer to walk from his car in the car park than to walk round the entire show . I am still going to head along...but I will lower my expectations slightly lol!

    Luckily someone reminded me that on the 6th & 7th march is the Scottish Game & Angling Show at the Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston, Edinburgh : Scottish Game & Angling show 2010 I keep missing it each year .....anyone been before, is it any good?

    If this is your first centrefire rifle and you have at least DSC1 and/or reference letters from accompanied stalks then probablly yes but i anticipate it would be a no if it is only because you say you 'intend to' ie actions speak louder than words. Good luck.

    Stay away from GB sights, the guy who was the distributor went down the pan, you will only pick up one secondhand, thus you take the chance it may be a repair job already! As Clint said spend the most you can afford, then is some new digital dedicated sights on the market now the Pulsar DigiSight I beleive you can get for under £1k and I Imagine it will do the job nicely (Scott Country sell them in Castle Douglas, still a trek for it but you could ask to see it working). If you want a trip over to Edinburgh to see through my ATN Trident Pro you are more than welcome, but they are a Gen 2+ Â

    I am just putting in a variation for 6.5x55 and also looking at a Tikka T3 Lite, I would be interested to know what price you can get them for when shopping about. i paid £620 for mie mate, they come screw cut. not even sportsmanguncentre could get near that price! but i got mine from helston gunsmith in cornwall...bit far for you! Thanks for the info, might give the a bell when my variation comes through. I can get it RFD'd .... I think?

    I use one of the foxcalluk calls and they work well....as long as no-one else has one in your area! I also use various mp3 calls on a cd in the car and on a mobile that I just leave in a field and phone it when charlie is nearby. All work to varying degrees of success, I think it is really down to the time of year you are calling and the age of the fox.

    Here are my thoughts: After the third custodial offence they obviously haven't learnt their lesson ....give them 10 years meaning 10 years whatever the offence is! Prisons are overcrowded....simple answer build more prisons...... Run a prison as a business and make the prisoners work and help pay for it.... why should us taxpayers have to support them, let them support themselves or starve!     A mate of mine that had on occasions suffered from depression declared it on his application and they contacted his gp and he was still issued his SGC...he did discuss it with his FEO on his visit and explained that although on occasions he does get down it is not a case he feels unable to cope and suicidal. I imagine as long as you haven't showed signs of trying to hurt yourself or others you would be ok......or do you have a lust for liver, fava beans and chianti! Good luck

    Smaller barrels come in handy if you are doing any shooting out of your car.
