    They will be fine , don't panic my shotty has a 3 1/2" chamber and it takes all sizes of cartridges, the only problem you get is whether they cycle properly. As far as section 1 goes I am aware of the issue but as far as I am aware you are ok as long as you don't get caught with three cartridges in the magazine... that is when you have alot of explaining to do and will be in deep shit

    Not sure in terms of difference in performance but most farmers prefer you to use fibre wads when shooting on permissions as they are tend to be biodegradeable and won't do any harm if eaten by livestock.

    Headed out last night with the 6.5x55 which I hadn't yet christened with its first kill. Sods law that just as we got it zeroed in at 100 yards it started chucking it down with rain again :wallbash: . We drove round to one of the usual spots and spotted two foxes up on the hill which ran like anything as soon as they were lamped. We knew where they were headed and tried to cut them off as they headed over to the moor but we didn't make it in time and all we saw were there eyes occasionally in the long grass.     Sods law that I didn't check the forecast last night and no sooner did I arrive down at the chicken farm it started p*ssing down :wallbash: ! Anyway we drove around not expecting to see much and we soon spotted a fox. My mate had the rifle but he well and truly fluffed the shot ! .     Nice one ! It is funny how sometimes the big knocks to a rifle and scope don't seem to affect the zero but the next time you gently ding it against something it will !

    Just got back today after being stuck in North Wales for a week and on the final leg of the journey I saw the combines cutting one of the fields on one of my permissions which I hadn't been on since the crops got up. As soon as I got home I sent a text message to the farmer just to say I would start on the foxes again and he soon text me back to say he way happy with that as he has various covey of partridge on his land that he wants to see increase. So I dusted of the 22-250 and headed off as night fell. I picked my spot and simply parked right in the corner of the field hoping tha
