Glad to hear you not had any run ins so far but these days word of mouth could be insufficient in the view of the police. For example what happens if the tractor guy has left and got a different number....could be difficult to explain if you get an awkward cop. Plus what happens if a landowner is on holiday abroad....it happens. Far easier to get permission in writing that way the landowner can't turn around and say that you never had permission or that you had permission ages ago but not now! If you have never met the owners of the lands and they are not willing to give permission in writing
Headed down to the chicken farm tonight to have a good mooch about as last week I could only get out one night and it feckin well rained no sooner than I had got out:wallbash: .
Anyway apart from the full moon the weather albeit damn cold (it went down to -4C) it was a dry night. I had headed up to one of the fields where I normally find foxes going about but nothing not even with the u-caller on. So I put down some bait for the foxes and moved off to a different part of the farm.
I scanned the fields with the lamp but nothing was about so I just tried doing a rabbit call with my mou
I iused to have a baikal single barrelled 12 bore and they used hushpower cartridges and it was not much louder than an air rifle. Nowt to complain about with them, maybe the barrel could be a bit shorter.
.....bring on the hardtimes I say....if you can't fend for yourself then tough titty you should of worked harder to provide for yourself and family. Time for people in the UK to get a reality check
Yep, I know that:wallbash: , but what magnification is capable of seeing a 6.5mm hole at 500 yards?

:tongue4: ..... Bit expensive for me but very nice lol !
I don't mind leg work but I don't have time to do that much walking when shooting at a target 500 yards away. I want to be able make scope adjustments without doing a 1000 yard walk every 5 shots.
you could see you target at 250 yards if you stick a green filter on your lamp also:whistling: .
I suppose saying no need for nightvision is a true statement as it is the same as saying using a lamp means no need for nightvision:thumbs:
