  1. Yep from a window - I have no choice as I dont have permissions and the birds wont land in the garden If im in it as no cover. I quite abit garden for a built up area tho. About 40 yards long Im aiming for the top of the chest/back and hitting that area as I have practised on paper targets (of big birds)
  2. nah downwards actually. Clean kills though
  3. I used to go for head shots and watch these buggers fly off but now I aim for the back of the chest area. Straight down and no twitching. I have to admit I dont like touching them once they are dead tho lol. AIM FOR THE BACK OF THE CHEST AREA. good luck
  4. I was having that problem shooting pigeons so I got a picture of a magpie blow it up and printed it off. 30 yards out and 9/10 are chest and head shots. Maybe you should try the same with the bunnys??
  5. Well thanks for all the helpful input! Im shooting at 30 yards at the moment So I guess the next step is to go out abit further.
  6. Is it ok to use one for a spring rifle?
  7. how do you measure yous distances so accurate?
  8. Nope wrong person mate shotguns defo not my cup of tea! Everybody says learn about my air rifle etc etc but is there really that much to learn? I am learning by the way by asking lots of questions on this forum.
  9. bsa comet 177 - nice rifle and im not sure if im supposed to be bored of it after a week but I want to go up a couple of gears now.
  10. Yep had my rifle for a week now. But I would like to know my limitations on how far my hobby can go! As I was told that only people registered with the ministry can shoot deer! My bsa is certainly not powerful enough though I would love something with abit more whack.
  11. I know that I am not allowed but say I had my fac and a decent rifle. What else is stopping me and what would I have to do in order to be legal to shoot deer. I dont intend on shooting deer im just curious as to the answers. Thanks
  12. Indeed I am and none taken. Just here to learn. Off to the gun club sunday though. mays of london any one else know it?
  13. Rimfire ammo is available from around 30ft lb to around 325ft lb with 4 different main calibres/types these days! How do you know you are getting 12ft lb with your BSA Comet? There are a couple of people who would have been very helpful to you, went by the names of Wingshooter and Guevara but I haven't seen them for a while! Thats what my local gunshop told me when I bought it last week. I need more power now though lol
  14. In terms of power - Im geting 12lb foot with my bsa comet but what kind of power is the average rimfire pushing out?
