  1. when i got my fac there was no stuff about being supervised either......just gave my ticket and was 'issued' to hold 500 rounds (.22) after few months i got raised to 800 rounds not a prob.
  2. what amazes me with this stupid government is that they raised the age to buy an airwapon to 18 but you can be 17 to buy a section 1 firearm or a shotgun! makes alot of sense doesnt it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  3. You can have a section 1 firearm under the age of 18. Once you are 17 you can purchase a firearm excluding airwapons. You can have a firearms certificate if you are over the age of 14. "It is an offence for a person under the age of fourteen to have in his possession any firearm or ammunition to which section 1 of this Act..." (Firearms Act 1968 sc 22 (2) the difference between a shotgun and FAC is for an FAC you have provide a good reason for the firearm in question and the amount of ammo you want to aquire and hold
  4. be carful, if a get a mod for a .22lr the mod itself is classed as a firearm...."In this Act, the expression “firearm†means a lethal barrelled weapon of any description from which any shot, bullet or other missile can be discharged and includes —© any accessory to any such weapon designed or adapted to diminish the noise or flash caused by firing the weapon;" (firearms act 1968) so if you caught with a proofed mod, you could be done for possosion of a sc1 firearm without a certficate, then say goodbye to your FAC and good luck to ever getting it back! you wouldnt get don
  5. i cant even get that with my co2 semi auto which has no recoil......the vidoe really made me sick!!!!!!! legally held firearms account for about 1% (maby less) of the overall gun crime.....SO WHAT THE FK IS HIS PROBLEM!!!!! only case he can make is to ban people!!!!!!!!!
  6. the walther g22 sort of looks likes a styer aug, very nice accurate and high rate of fire. If i could i would get a real stayer aug
  7. be carful, if a get a mod for a .22lr the mod itself is classed as a firearm...."In this Act, the expression “firearm†means a lethal barrelled weapon of any description from which any shot, bullet or other missile can be discharged and includes —© any accessory to any such weapon designed or adapted to diminish the noise or flash caused by firing the weapon;" (firearms act 1968) so if you caught with a proofed mod, you could be done for possosion of a sc1 firearm without a certficate, then say goodbye to your FAC and good luck to ever getting it back!
  8. nice shooter, makes a nice bang in all. If I were you, get a FAC and get semi auto .22lr. if you cant get one, the s16 all way
  9. i gave a mate a lift back, and he lived in a crap hole and was little late at night, thats why the pulled me over. then gave some rubbish about my car matching the description of an robbery or something, when then enabled them to search under sc1 of PACE 1984.
  10. in my experiance you would be better off being pulled over by the S019 as they lience the firearms as well as responding to the criminal use of firearms, so they would be able to tell someone hunting on farmers land from some idot running around a public place and mis-using a firearm. but you are right, if normal plod saw you, then calls the armed response lot...then who knows. In my case, comming back from the club, i had a co2 handgun in my boot, plod searched the car found it, even though i told them i had a reasonable excuse to carry it, (comming back from the gunclub) they went total men
  11. the liencing laws in this country are stpuid, for a shotgun, you should be able to just go through a 'background' check then be allowed to own one. for section one firearms, there a 'background check' and off course registation of the firearm that how it should be, and no bloody allowence on how much ammo you can hold at any one time. (if you can be trusted to hold a section 1 firearm, then holding ammo shouldnt be a issue)
  12. You will not 'sliencer' completly any type of firearm esp. if the bullet is travaling supersonic speed, but you can reduce the sound it makes by 50%. a sound mod on a .177 pistol will sound like a soft thud, .22lr will sound like you are banging something. But a .223 will prob sound like gunshot but the sound will not travel as far, thus will not piss off a whole town. If you go on utube you can view people shooting .223's with a sound mod. have look
  13. Do Military looklike rifles espeically .22lr ones with semi auto fuction give the shooting sports a bad press, and they should be discouraged? for example, the walther g22 which looks likes a SA80 or Stayer AUG with can almost fire a 'burst' rate of fire of 2 shots per secound and can deplete a 10 round mag in just under 5 secs. is this type of firearm really needed for hunting or to be used by non military people?? any thoughts? ps. i do NOT agree with a ban!
