  1. RWS hobby or RWS superdome or Wasps.
  2. Hi again just noticed a used HW99 for 160 pounds in the for sale section. Good gun, good price.
  3. A bargain, great gun. Would buy but I am very happy with my own Weirhauch springer.
  4. Hi if you want a good spring powered gun I would go for either one of the BSA range, the super sport is good yet cheap, or one of the Weihrauch range. Some of them are quite heavy but you get used to the weight and they are all very accurate and have good triggers. Or you could go for one of the air arms springers. The TX 200 is very accurate but even the carbine version is over 8lbs so its heavy. Or the pro sport which is supposed to be very good and looks great and is slightly lighter if I remember correctly. All good guns I'd go for whatever feels best for you some are more expensive or mor
  5. Great choice of rifle, I borrowed one once. It was deadly accurate. You could hit a beer bottle top every time at 30 odd yards. Couldn't shoot standing up though as it was too heavy but I was only 15 at the time. Good luck with your gun.
  6. Hi all, I am thinking about buying a scope. What type reticle do you prefer and why?
  7. I too would like to know if the foam cleaning pellets work especially in spring guns, providing you put a pellet in behind them?
  8. How about things relating to hunting like peoples posts about their hunting in 1 section and another section for things relating to air guns of all types? Just a suggestion.

    wet gun

Its fine as long as you dry the gun properly afterwards. If I've been shooting and the gun gets soaked I take the stock off and wipe the metal dry with kitchen role. Let the stock dry at room temp as it could crack if left to near the fire. When its all dry I put the stock back on.

Never owned one, but I am interested in old guns, is it a sidelever?

    hare

Well done, are you going to eat that hare?
  13. Air Arms 410 out of those 3 but if it was me I'd buy a decent spring powered gun and save money.
  14. Thanks for replies everyone, I will clean the barrel. How should I go about this?
  15. Hi all, I use a Weihrauch HW57 for all my shooting but I must have but over 5000 pellets through it, will the barrel need cleaning? or does each pellet push out any muck left by the last one?
  16. I saw this happen once, but I think the seagull just injured itself flying into the cables as if it was electrocuted it would surely be dead. I finished off the seagull as it had broken wings. It was a herring gull.
  17. I don't think it will make a great deal of difference as regards accuracy or power. Just go for the 1 that feels and balances best. HW 77 is a great rifle my dad had one. I couldn't afford one so I bought the HW 57 instead which is a more lightweight under lever. It also is very good, can't go wrong with a Weihrauch!
  18. Chambers gunmakers have a website and sell most air gun spares.
  19. Hi all, I usually use my weihrauch HW57's open sights for rabbits in the daytime but I am going to go lamping in the autumn and need to buy a scope. I've only got about 50 pounds to spend but could go higher for the right scope. Are the walther scopes any good? and will the 2 piece mounts work on a spring rifle? Any help appreciated.
  20. I could be wrong but I thought you couldn't fit gas rams to weihrauchs?
  21. The Weihrauch 99 is also a good gun and it's lighter than the HW and 95.

    Lamping

Well done! Good bag, what is the gun on the left?
  23. Rabbits don't usually get fly strike in the wild in my experience. She is probably feeding it the wrong things. I was once asked to shoot a pet Guinea pig cause it had escaped in the barn and nobody could catch it. The reason was because it stole so much hen food! Killed it with a head shot at ten yards. The trouble was I had to do it when the farmers children weren't about so as not to upset them.
  24. Cheapest good new air rifle I can think of is the BSA Supersport. I think you can get a new one for about 140 pounds and it should last being a BSA. Hope that helps.
