yeh i agree i did try a few .51s in the gunshop when i bought my s410 they just seemed to rattle around in the mag and when i fired a few the group seemed to open out compaired to the .52s

i use the .52s in my s410 clasic they seem to be a better fit in the mag and the grouping is great on them heres a 10 shot group at around the 40 yard mark

second hand airarms s410 classic one of the best multi shot pcps there are and for 500 notes you could get scope spare magazine and possably a moderator for that price

a painted stock looks cool i did this to my old webley vulcan i bought the gun from a car boot sale for 30 quid and a tin of grey car primer and a tin of black car prmer from my local poundland store cut some leaves from a privet hedge in the garden and came up with this first sprayed the gun with the grey primer then put the leaves over and sprayed the black because its matt primer not a glint in sight

i use rws super hpoints they seem to do the job out to 20 - 30 yards they expand well to and you dont get many that are damaged in the tin either i have used about 4 tins not had a bad 1 yet allso use airarms fields there a great pellet and easy punch 1 hole groups out to 40-50

i am 29 years old and i had my first airgun when i was 9 it was for my ninth birthday and it was a bsa meteor in .177 with open sights when i was 11 i was bought a webly tempest in .177 an another bsa meteor in .22 still have the tempest but sold my beezas now i own a webly vulcan, webly tracker, aa s410, tuned qb78 and a sterling and my old tempest -

how good a rifle depends on a few things how does it feel to shoot is it upto the power it should be (12 ft.lbs) is it in good condition and also is the price right just a few things to keep in mind

i may be wrong but i am sure brocock have just released a pcp pistol in the 200-300 price range looks a sweet bit of kit the barrel is even threaded ready for a moderator

is it just me or when the government talk about banning something all of a sudden there are loads and loads of incedents that happen and all of them get massave television and newspaper publicity it just makes me sick to think that the governent are trying there damned hardest to control there public by any means they can the only thing that will happen if you ban airguns is that the people that use them leagally will hand them in and the god damn muppets that just use them for messing round with shooting peoples cats and so called "responsable" people that souldnt be trusted with a god damn s

the only way to find the best pellets is to try a few brands as it depends on a few thing the rifle the range your budget. i use 3 different pellets i use rws hpoints in my webly vulcan and dynamic pcp2 and airarms field in my airarms s410

well i have used both guns and i have to say the the 410 i think is a better gun and i prefer the cocking method on the 410 but get yourself to ya local gunshop and try them both out for yourself thats gonna be the best way to tell

ok from the top down we have my airarms s410 with mtc viper 3-12x44 versipod bipod and aiarms mod next is my sterling hr 81 this gun was made by the same factoy that made the sten gun made the year i was born 1979 using the old iron sights next is my tuned qb78 running at 11.49 on airarms fields with a hawk scope finally my webley vulcan with gas ram fitted running at 11.44 using rws super h points using a jsr 6-24x50 scope

hi mate one thing to keep in mind us that for the best part the rabbits woodies and squidgies that are around have survived the summer and spring so most will be on extra lookout so take the time stalking also remember that just because its winter doesn't allways meen it will be cold winter sun can keep you just as warm as summer sun so allways take some warmer weather clothes

i use a mtc viper love the milldots on this sight once your used to it makes for fast targeting

bought a poker set from a car boot sale poker chips are good fun also the symbols on the cards are good too

get yourself a canvas topped fishing stool i got mine from the pound shop near me because its not solid like a bipod you can rest your rifle on it and when out hunting it doubles up a a seat

yeh i agree guys a sole permission basis would be great the downside to that is that nearly all the permissions around this area are shared or are looked after by game keepers so there isnt really many other options

well where to start after doing 20 years of target shooting in clubs and semi pro i thought it may be time to branch out to pest control did everthing above bord sent off for my insurence got that through sent off letters applying for shooting permission door to door and cold calling and it eventually paid off i had a land owner agree to me shooting on his land when he came back from his holls (friday just gone) i phoned him this morning just to see if his holls went ok and to double check it was ok to go up there on monday he said that while he had been on his holls someone else who had perm
