depth of head give's strenth/power,width of jaw give's purchase, but as p***y say's a dog will only bite as hard as he want's to,a boxer doesn't hit hard because he has a big fist,it's the man behind the fist, just my opinion, A.T.B.

Alaunts were a medieval hunting dog, they were used for running down bear, wolves and boar mainly. They have been extinct for centuries as a breed, they had a bad reputation for killing livestock and even people! The quarry available in the uk seems limited for the recreation of this breed. In the US they might have a practical application as boar and bear dogs, although there are existing breeds that do that job well like Argentinian Dogos. Some people just have to have the biggest scariest dog out there wether there is a need for them or not. Personally I wouldnt want the liability and feed

just to put thing's strait,if you look i did not start this thread some one else did,and i've never tried to sell anything on this forum or any other forum(unlike some ).i am happy with my dog's,so are the people who've had them off me over the year's and that's what count's.when it come's to the price of the dog's ask youself this, how many of you pay top dollar for the boot's,jacket's,gun's,net and the big macho truck's you drive,(big off road tyre's, winches, bull bar's,where do you go hunting - paris/dakar) all to drive up a farm track ! i was paying £200/300 for terrier's back in the 's,t

i know my history and read the same book's as you by the sound of it.the dog men of this country may of stopped useing them but they were and still are being use'd all around the world and still found here in britain today,as for my dog's ,i know what they can and do do,for some reason you seem to think that you and the click are the only one's doing anything with dog's on this site.i have dog's out there,i've now't to prove my dog's are doing that.and yes i do want £650 for a pup,so what ?you forgot to mention that i've also farmed dog's out to mate's at my expence for year's.As far as reput

and fair play to you for that...i belive breeders of any breed of dog should be breeding for the healthiest example of their chosen breed...but...this is a hunting forum and the emphasis is on a working dog...and i personally dont belive the english bull is any longer a working animal...crossing it with pit or staff will give you a hardy hybrid in the short term but in the long run for it to be an english bull it has to LOOK like an english bull and in a breeding program for working dogs comprimise like breeding for looks is where it will all fall on its arse...and in my opinion history proves
