    i always get a high after a hard dig or getting the game back to the car after a succesful night on the lamp when im on me own but then i also enjoy the craic out with the lads , seem to be getting older & crankier nowdays & just want to be out alone with me dogs so i can be totally selfish & go & do what ever pleases me like turn off the lamp if the quarry is heading to far away from the car .

    anyone make a filter from scratch ? was thinking of having a go but cant locate any coloured perspex . it must be used somewhere ? whats the stuff they use on theartre lights ?.

    1 greyhound 1 1st x alsation grey 2 patterdales 1 beagle 1 beagle x terrier 2 basset x teckle x beagle x terrier, 3 basset de fleur ? x beagle 1 teckle 2 basset x beagle pups 3 teckle pup put the word out 2 years ago that i was cutting back on terriers & wanted to put a bushing pack together heard nothing for awhile so bought the 2 basset x,s & the beagle then got given the rest of the hound x,s from hunting buddys & buddys of buddys etc etc ,feeding is no problem 1 bag of nuts & all the raw meat i want, i get out on sataurdays with the pack there all young dogs,aimin

    was just looking at them last week , had one yrs ago a great lamp only problem it has a fully enclosed beam and if you break it like i did mid season its as expensive as a new lamp plus your waiting a few wks for the replacement, saying that going to get one but will have a back up .

    just soak them in methelyated spirits for 3 or 4 weeks fully submerged then leave them dry for another 3 or 4 weeks you can do alot with them ,sticks , coat hooks , hooks for a gun etc etc . just put them in what ever shape you want when you take them out the meths, a word of warning put them out of harms way when your soaking them as my lurcher ate a few of mine last year & got locked gave me a fright eyes rolling in his head couldnt stand but he was fine after a few hours .

    got a pair of pups in wales last year basset x beagle x terrier back to a pure teckle dog, running them with a young teckle bitch, happy out with there progress so far

    a big thanks to everyone who turned up on the day , weather was s**te but a good turn out all the same , must apoligse to those who brought strong dogs due to a total f**k up there class,s were never called , great to see a working border get overall in the terriers & the lurchers must be on summet or else the starting motor is on its last legs , will let ye know how much was raised for marymount when the count is complete, thanks again.

    well basically got a few complaints from what id call well meaning self rightous hyprocites & for the common good it was decided to change the terrier judge ps no antis complained just hunting folk who actually belive everything they read on the internet & rags of papers ! which for me is the sad part . its a good show for a great chairty run by people who do trojan work for there community so see ye all there

    great show can only get better the 3euro entry fee put everyone in great form & probely spent more inside hope ye made enough to make it worth yer while for the school

    DMICK not been funny,but i wud'nt think the terrier would know if the quarry was dug before to them its just another dig. no bother just seen it a few times yrs ago that a terrier that wasnt considered hard where it was used on game that was dug only once then was passed on to an area where the game was used to being dug that it turned into a hard dog or else was pushed around.

    whos to say what is & isnt a lurcher can you run a first x whp grey or a pure whp or a greyhound with no ear tatts just want to know what poor misfortunate is goin to decide who runs on the day ?

    just on this point, would ye think there was a difference years ago between terriers been reared to digging game thats been humanely dispatched after every dig & terriers that are dug to where the game is left go for another day & that they might come across again ?

    should have my barrvox next week goin to compare it to the buddys b&f which is ok except for pinpoint accuracy the last few feet will give an update in a few weeks.
