    front nails take longer,,,,,,,if its ur dogs back foots nails less,,,,as they only use them to push off my dog lost back nail 2year ago on back foot,,,it broke twice since them,,,but doesnt give him any problems if in doubt ,,,,,6 weeks,,,is good time to let dog heal,,,,,, when comes to nails,,,,broken toe 10-12 weeks ,,,,if anyone reading this and has toe problems

    lamping hare,s at night ???????????     pure greyhound doing the job,,,,,,,,,brillant fence hopper good on you we had a irish track grehound in past ,,,,who didnt cope with inside hare at track when brought to scotland,,,,,,,,which was a bookies dog gave it to my old man for free,,,,,as long he never raced it,,,,cause she cost £3000,,,late ,s she wasnt big,,,,simalar size to urs,,,,,,,what a brillant bitch she was at hunting love seeing posts off pure greys hunting,,,,as there the real coursing machines in my book ,,,,,rabbits / hares / fox ,,,or deer they do it all when u get ur hands on a good one,

    not read all pages off topic,,,,,,,,but my old man gave away his pup,s for a bag off dog food ( which was old school i reckon ),,,,which i repect as he breed for himself,,,,not for money, seen guys pay alot off money for pup,s ,,,,,,and guys pay little,,,,,,,and the guys pay less got the better dog but have noticed over time ,,,,some dog users that get pup for free treat it as such,,,which is a shame, ,,,,,but there is guys out there that do treat a free pup like GOLD and bring the best out off them

    neibour,s got colli x grey,,,,,about 10 yearold,,,,,,,,,for the last 2 years,,,he,s been saying ,,iam going to retire her but she keeps catching mainly rabbits,,,,she tends to pick a spot,,and let his young whippet flush them to her,,,,,,i think deep down she knows she cant run like she use to,,,so she has to be smarter lol,,,,dont blame her as she,s abit flat footed now,, i think she,ll hunt till her dying breath,,,and if she keeps catching,,,,my neibour will still take her out,,,,and quite rightly so,,,as thats what his old dog loves to do

    whats the difference if your caught your caught sorry for who ever does but thats the way the cookie crumbles people no the score and what comes with it Yes i agree but getting caught lamping with a 22tts dog probably wont arouse suspicions as much than with a bigtype lurcher.atb dell a dogs a dog to the old bill mate,dont think an extra few inches to its height gonna make much difference really,but know where your coming from atvb its just dog breeds that will do well at rabbits ,bushing etc,,,,or doing rabbits,,,,but will do bigger game when no one else is looking ,,,,i

    seen it a few times in scotland,,,,,and when i was in night navacation in the army,,,,,,total balck out,,,,couldnt see my hand 6inches from my face,,,,,,,,,,,,one off those night in army ,,,i walked in to electic fence,,,,,,,( yes it hurt) white out on snow as well,,,,nearly just as bad seen i few white outs aswell,,,,,with the snow blizzards up here,,,,1st when i was 16 teen,,,,,,,couldnt see 2 foot in front off me,,,,during the day,,,,,,,my well trained gun dog ran off aswell,,,,,,,but came back when it was all over

    i agree with you,,,,,,they are injury prone,,,,,,but when u get a 36lber or 40lber ,,,,behind a deer or hare,,,,and knowing the speed they can reach,,,u know there quarry doesnt stand a chance,,,,,,even more so now as there so close , on advrege on breaking the 8 second barrier 2day,,,,20 years ago this was unthinkable i hunt mine,,,,but i have to be carefull,,on ground i run them on,,,,,,but feck me ,,,,when the hunt is on ,,,u can double the excitment iam feally to normal working dog,, do they have there place in hunting world?????? i think they do,,as whip x grey ,,,,gives u the opt

    some younger guys just want kill/kill/kill i know i was that 13 to 16year old were the kill was most important,,,,and at that age i was out everyday,,,,shotgun/purse nets/ snares and dog be it runnig dog or terrier,,,,it was kill/kill/ kill,,,,,,,and numbers only now i relise,,,espesally as i still own runnig dogs,,,,i relise,,,a stupid dog,,,,,is not for me,,,,dont get me wrong prey drive is impotant,,and in a perfect world if ur dog has both,,,,its a keeper

    a brainy dog can have also lots off prey drive a stupid dog,,,,with loads of prey drive,,,,,,is an accident waiting to happen,,, seen a dog with loads off prey drive,,,but not much brains,,,split its self in two almost, on a tree stump,,,,,57stiches,,,,,20lb dog,,,,not a pretty site,,,,or vet bill,,,,,if she had any sence she would have run round that tree stump,,,,as previous dogs we had did in past as we ferreted the same place,,previous, for years and never had any trouble
