    if ur going to add meat,,,,dont add it to a dry food that has high protein ( i,e 28% or above ) but if dry food has low protein 20% or 22%,,,,i dont see the harm but when it comes to fish ,,,u get nothing better,,,,but to add too big protein bags off food,,,ur choice,,,,i tend to add ,,,as fish add more than just protein

    not read all off topic but----- i know my neibour feeds his dogs nothing but what they catch now and again he has to buy bag off dog food to mix in,,,,as he has work commitments what i do i like ox liver and lambs heart ,,,bought cheap at any shop,,,,,i do use dry dog food,,,,but i like to mix it up with tea,s left overs,,,epacailly ,,,,spagg ball and pasta bake,,,,as are full off mince , and more importantly full off tomatao,and tomato i belive is good to stop dogs cramping up lets not forget when there eating that there gettin the best steak mince thats left over wotever u f

    allthou he was racer,,,,he loved his hunting,,,,photo was tooken at when he was 15months,,,he just tooken suprememe dog yearling at english derby giving 7yards and 12 yards head start to other dog,s ,,,,,but his heart lay in the hunt,unknowing to me at this point when photo was taken,,,his career had ended at 15month old at racing althou he never injurded himself at hunting rabbits and well other but wont go into that ,,,his jaw power ive never seen the likes,,,except in the bully types ( throw back,s) cut along story short,,,i look back on this photo,,,as i think at that point i got him

    i like seeing lurchers,,,going round the track,,,keeping lurcher,s on there toe,s in summer months,,,,,not all chase at 1st ,,but after a few trails there away and the grehound track give,s the owner a choice to the distance the owner wants to run ( 300/500/ or even 1km ) so they can get a good run,,wotever owners decide i know sowhat on here puts on lurcher racing at highgate track in the late ,s ,,,i use to race a small 30lb fawn whip agasint lurcher,s,,,,and somtimes we use to bump into lurcher owners at thorton grey track giving there lurchers ,,some practice in summer months

    not seen old mans dog for a while,,,as he,s a highlander ie hillbilly lol ,,,he,s been snowed in good few times this year,,,up glenclova,,,,i think ill see him at start off racing club starting back,,,,when summer really hits,,,,he,ll be round the lurcher fairs,,,,,,good young dog he,s got,,,i like her alot ,,,she was my choice out off sugar rush litter out off the bitch pups,,,,,no doubt he,ll be down from the hill,s ,,,,too put my paddy and my brother,s dog almost bob,s in their place lol,lol,lol,,,,he,ll have a fight on his hands,,,,as me and brother wont give our place without a fight lol

    alright chris,,,just bumping topic up,,,,as garry going to get pictures up off his pup,,,this weekend hopfully,,,his pup about 18inch now got few off sire when he was 12month ,,,,EASY TO SAY LOL crush took his father,s color ,,,,he,s pritty much retired from racing,,,,out most days hunting him (daytime poaching mostly just rabbits thou ),,,he stood test off time,,,as i hope your pup does ,,, 1st pic was him at 11months or just over a year 2nd one my wife decided ,,,zac was her,s not mine lol ,,,as he was a soft touch too females as he was garenteed proper feed before racing ,,

    its a hard on to call ???? as whippets run in weight classes,,,,,,,i,e ped whippet can be 18lb ,,the other can be 28lb,,,,,but the 28lber will have to give the 18lber ( 10yards head start in race),,,,28lber get beat by 4 yards in race,,,,18lber get all the credit for winning race,,,,,( but who was fastest ????) I,E IF BOTH DOG,S WERE SLIPPED AFTER A BIG EARS,,,THE 28LBER WILL BE MOST LIKLY TO TURN IT ,,,THAN THE 18BLER OFF LEVELS,,,,AS THE SMALLER WHIPPET WINNING SUP THIS AND THAT,GETTIN BIGGEST HEAD START AS HANYCAPP SUITS THEM,,THE OTHER DOG ACTUALLY QUICKER ,,,,when i choose a pup

    were they pure whippets????? or were they whippets that stay close to their ancestor,s --i,e was there any grey in them ,,,makes a big diffrence on height of offsring plus u mention weight,,,,a 32lb ped whippet can be shorter than a 28lb non ped ( i,e working pure peds can weigh heavier than a non ped ,,,, 32lb ( bitch ) x 22lb (sire ) i would say ,,cos bitch was bigger 26-28lb,,,,but you can get thrown ,,,an 18lb to 16lber at times plently grey in breeding ,,,u might??? get a throw back to grey if they were non peds from time to time

    Good As Gold was probably the greatest yds/lb DOG ever !! Bitches usualy won the run of for Supreme Champion, but I'm sure he won a few !! And once again, he had the best of the Whippets, Bilko, on his sires side and Greyhound on his dams side ! Another Grew that was tremendous !
