AUCK ,,,,,does it matter lol treadmills wont teach yer dog to hunt or act probaly in the feild,,,,,,but i know alot off running dog plls will use them,,,,i see them as an extra,,,,if ya cant get enough free running for yer pooches p,s i only agreed with whin in 2011 ,,,,,its now 2012 lol lol but common guys run yer dog few miles behind jeep,,,,which i use to do in ,s or 90,s ,,,or run them behind lure ,,,2 /3times a week,,,,,beats a treadmill hands down,,,,,,,but mooching and hunting dogs in feild ,,,,beats them ALL,,,as there no substitute,,,,for doing it without the tecno aids

ffs whin,,,,iam going to agree with ya ,,,,,we are talking feet /toes tendons ,,,,lol free running out in feild will help treadmill reddawn,,,,i allways see as an extra,,,,if i took my dogs out ,,,and i think they didnt get enough or didnt get time,,,,fair play ,,,i would use them,,,,,but i dont ,,,,and i dont think any young guy reading this should,,,,,there,s nothing better for dogs than out in the freash air cutting it with there dog treadmills are for guys ,,that A KEEP TOO MANY OR B CANT BE ASSED

I wouldn't mind a swim tank, the f*****g baths to shallow. dont waste ya time mate, the folks of the hunting life have deemed them an mills unneeded ok redawn,,,,,what about putting a dog 3 or 5 times behind the lure running at full flight ,,200yrd //400yrds each time ,,,,who cares,,,,or put a dog 2hours on the treadmill,,,,,yet yer lure work could be finished in half the time what do you think will get the dog fitter ??????????? noticed i never attcked yer swimming pool,,,,as i cant as i know it brings dog back from injuruy quicker ,,,,if no injury ,,,,it gets t

yes ,,,,greyhound trainers use treedmills but the have 100,s off dogs to do in there puppy farms lol,,,,but there not hunting there dogs,,,,,,yes it does help ya on yer goal for peak fittness,,,but treadmills dont make dogs reach the peak,,,lol actaul running does quick goal for ya ,,,,,if ya not got time for dogs,,,,find a hill run it up there for 20mins ,,,,it will do more for it than a hour on the treadmill,,,,,,and GUESS WHAT ,,,,might help toughen up the pads,,,,,somthing a treadmill will never do

thats good adivise,,,,but can i ask canaliculata,,,,,WHY DAYTIME???? ur speaking running dogs then,,,those guys are a diffrent breed who own them,,,that bring out the very best out on the day,,,,which makes it harder as they aint out for the odd mooch ,,,,there out to run the best sport the land can offer why dont ya go down the path off the lamping /mooching lurcher??????

yes,,,,iam usally the mug that does the lure ,,,and my dogs always come runner up and i have to watch familys dogs and members dogs come 1st lol lol,,,,i,e insane jane / sugar rush / almost bobs / biddy ,,,,the list goes on i dont know if ill be back to kirkcaldy next year ,,,as i live north ,,,fuel money is making it harder,,,,,,ill always make a point next year to lure drive at scottish derby when 100 to 200 whip/grey,s from england scotland and irland battle it out on speed,,,,even if i cant race next year,,,,,hardbloods will be a thing off the past in scotland,,,,but hopfully not

whip /greys are known to burn out poacher,,,,but there always known threwout history to have good recovery,,,depending on the dog,,,i,e fittness ( iam so going to get hard time over this lol,,,google longdogs dont take my word for it lol),,,,,,,but they can be stupid at times thats were a splash off collie makes the diffrence uve not told me ,,,,,what whip/grey was yer lurcher dog ?????????

Shes been blighted with injurys one of the risks [bANNED TEXT] getting pups out of fast raceing dogs and i am in the procces of finding a pet home for her.TBH i would have sooner took a chance on the litter you mentioned as long as the perants were good dogs rather than anything bred out of a greyhound or other raceing dog this is only MY opinion after over the years having more success with lurcher to lurcher bred types and two of my best dogs ever being [bANNED TEXT] lamping type bitches usualy a mix of crosses have been bred back to saluki hybreds.atb dell do yer home work next time po

a long dog or sighthound will add the speed,,,( not always granted),,,,but if its for daytime mooching,,,,u want a dog to be able to make the ground up,,,,,some lurchers cant make the ground up,,,them having the aid off a lamp its horses for courses,,,,,,,plls who run the forley cup,,,,run dogs with alot off sighthound,,,hence daytime but thats were the question lies,,,,if ground has a lot off cover and ur only after rabbits and good 1st collie ,grey will do the job,,,,but what if ya want more in the daytime ,,,without aids,,,thats when sighthounds and long dogs come into there own,

somtimes one off my dogs trys to get them out of my hand when walking back to motor,,,,all i do is give it one to carry back to motor, saves me carrying one off them ,,lol my biggest problem with my young dog is when she gets one ,,,she,ll retrive ,,,but then not lev my side , and not try for another ,,,for a good few minutes

ill put photo up,,,,this year banjo,,,,,she ran a long career,,,in racing,,,not sure about hunting but knowing lass,,,she wouldnt have been shy to slip not got her on bends,,,but her good eye was outside off bend at grey tracks,,,,didnt stop her winning in the hussle and bussle on the bend with other bend dogs that her in blue ,,,,my dog was in red,,,,but dog in blue with missing eye,,,would have kicked my dogs ass 2years earlyier,,,but dog was really gettin on abit in photo,,,mine was 5,,,she was i think over 7yearold,,,,she had a very good running career,,,,there photos off her on bends,,,sh

so when you look back would you not like to think you could see a marked inprovment from were you begane from your first dog or was it the be all and end all ...and the dog for you .. i know a lad that had a dog nothing special and put it to a bitch (pet) and kept a dog and it never got the chance to shine as never of the lead and now will go back to it sire`s sister(thats a pet) so he can have a pup .......this is sad in my book ...at least give the dog a good working life and be worth taking something back... not coz its a pet you carnt be with out when i look back i see a marked inpro
