  1. Why bother writing crap like that? The dogs in Derby & you have put down as being in North Yorks they really are two different ends of the country aren't they. i'm at uni in durham and its too far to scoot down this weekend to have a look, i can't take a lot of time off as i'm in the middle of finals and i'd rather not spend 8 hours stuck in the middle of bank holiday traffic when i'm trying to get a degree. an as i can't go this weekend, chances are it'll have gone by the time i've finsished up with exams, hence....its too far away: but it is still a dog that would have been great
  2. i don't really know about getting jills spayed but i've had three hobs over the past 9 or 10 years and go all three vasectimised (or however the f*** you spell it). always had at least 3 jills with them. getting the boys snipped i found to be very helpfullas not only did it mean that sorting out jills in season wasn't an issue but also i made a few friends around the local area who would want to borrow him now and again to cover their jills. this was invaluable because it meant i could call in a few favours now and again, got a few more places to go ferreting and had soeone who was happy to l

  4. i know a lad who has mae them, 2" weldmesh and a base out boarding. used a steel plate in runners for the dropper. said it worked well, don't know if that helpful, T
  5. hi there, i'm not much of an expert on this but i have just been through getting a mod fixxed onto my .243 (marksman and daughter). looked at quite a few and talked around a lot about which was going to be best. went for T8 in the end: and it doing a good job. the pattern has come together a touch but i find the best thing is that you can properly see the shot placement: bloody nice if you do a lot of stalking in thick covert.
  6. it sounds like one hell of a beast and a good old drag. Anyone any idea where i can find out a bit more about aging roe by teeth. and also i've shot a buck which might be a silver/gold - how do i tell? first decent one i've shot - as its normally all just wacking does and prickets. any info would be great
