  5. i used it when i had a very sick ferret she was at deaths door,i had to disguise the crushed up antibiotics with something plus it was the only thing i could get her to eat she made a full recovery so for me it had it's uses atb AL
  6. be very careful mate if they are to good to be true dont buy em,i bought some varta ones off ebay and they fooked one of my collars, the best ones i got was sony they lasted for ever but i cant for the life of me remember where i got em from atb AL
  7. Have had the same problem with a couple of Mk3M collars where I put brand new batteries in the collar and turn them off. A few hours later one of the batteries is flat. If the collar is left turned on then the batteries last as they should. Would love to know how to fix this. i have exactly the same problem with one of mine,i even put sony batteries in just to try normally i can get a good few hours out of them but still flat as a fart next day,i think i prefer the other mk3 collar where you have to remove the batteries at least i can test them before i put em back in!!!!

  12. i must admit the finger in the mouth is the method for me,you dont have to be too rough either and it works quick they soon learn,i work 3 bitch ferrets and 2 big dog ferrets that wont let me inspect their teeth cos they must think i'm going to gag em,atb AL

  14. are you sure there broken and it's not the batteries that lie at fault the reason i'm asking is because i stupidly bought some off ebay and they f**ked up one of mine now i have to remove the batteries after each session otherwise they carry on draining even though they are turned off with the magnetic reed switch my advice would be to try some fresh batteries making sure that they are put in correctly by the way which collars have you got, the ones that take 393s that must be removed after each session which is a slimmer grey one or the one that takes 394s that turn off via a magnet atb
