  3. I'm 17 and i love going out with our bull crosses for a night after old charlie however, i love going out with my nearly pure greyhound bitch and a ferret for a few rabbits just as much. Everything edible that is caught gets taken home for the pot or for ferret meat and any fox that i get is hidden away in some bushes out of the way of any anti or anyone else to see. I have a respect for the quarry and for the land as this is how my dad has brought me up and i'm glad he has. As for them my age that strut around the place like they own it, half of them havn't even been out with the lamp and if

  6. Hi there does any one know where i can buy Darcy's "Now thats what i call lurcher work" Been looking all over but no where i've tried sells it.
  7. Mine have a feed once every night. however, if im going out that night then they wont get fed until we get back. A mate of mine once took his dog out 2-3 hours after it being fed and the dog had one run then it yelped and hunched up, he returned home and the next day the dog was dead he went to the vets about it for an answer and he said it was from feeding the dog before going out. Its because of this i never risk it.
  8. thanks mate ill have a look.
  9. I went out ferreting yesterday, bolting the rabbits to one of my lurchers as they field sets. The dog had some of the best courses on rabbits i've seen and i wish i could of cought it on camera. Therefore i'm after a good camcorder that i can film the dogs working/running day and night, it needs to have a good zoom on it so that it will be able to film the dogs and quarry whilst they are at the other end of the field. It also has to be able to record well at night whilst out with the lamp. Has anyone got any reccomendations?
  10. My dad has kept ferrets and lurchers for as long as i can remember. I first started going out with him ferreting carrying the odd rabbit and netting up a couple of holes, as i got older i began going out lamping and shooting with him. I'm 17 now and i have my own dog a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 bull bitch just for the small stuff rabbits etc but i use my dad's bull x's if i'm after anything bigger. I enjoy going out for a long walks most letting the dog's hunt up their own quarry which has paid off as ive had a few bambi's this way (Roe and Fallow) two of which have been stags with a good rack's on th
