If you have a pellet stuck in the arse end of your Combro, you have a seriously under powered rifle! My combro went to dust after I fecked up putting the HW40 through it (about 2.5 ft/lbs) :oups: Drop them an email, it cost me something silly (less than a fiver) to send it off, have it repaired and sent back to me The customer service is excellent and they didn't charge me until it was fixed Tony

Daisy have a lot of rifles, some are scopable, some not. Pop a pic up, or put the model name/number up and I'll find out for you I know a lot of Daisy owners over here and over in the States. Tony

Sorting Out An Old El Gamo Cadet
Phantom replied to WoodsmanJim's topic in General Airgun Discussion
If you have too much preload it wont be possible to cock it as the sear wont be able to engage. I tried in my youth to stretch a spring for an ASI Rangemaster that had the same trigger mech as that one. It worked for a few shots, then snapped the spring that returned the trigger Tony -

A good alrounder Dome headed is the best bet. What gives you best results now will likely give you best results with the new spring. Tony -

Seriously? A springer needs to move, A springer (to produce consistant results) needs to obay the laws of physics. When you release the sear, the spring moves the piston forward and according to the laws pf physics the spring also shoves the stock etc... rearwards. (Every action produces an equal and opposite reaction). Not only that, but..... If a spring is coiled to the left, the rifle will uncoil to the right and, vise-versa when fired. A springer is by its very mechanical nature (laws of physics) very 'HOLD DEPENDANT'. So a springer needs to move forward and backwards a

If it's long past, you should be okay if you have the rest (security, land etc...) You can if need be, reduce the power by reducing the number of coils on the spring or by adding whats known as "Pre-Load" I suffere severe reccurent depression at times, thats why i have not yet applied for my FAC. If I can make a full 12 months clear, I will apply

I also thought that you could not hunt with a air rifle in Germany. K'in ell Ric, that avatar looks like Wurz's work!! :drool & slurrrping: Oh and you are correct witch made it even more fun LOL Walshie Most imported Air guns need to be reduced in power for the UK market (Even SMK!....) It's just so fecking easyto tip a QB well over the 12 limit! Hows life Arch?

FAC is dependant on a lot of things I can get my Ultra back if the local FAEO decides that my 'depression issues' (mental health issues) are in the past and given what Ihave learned this week they are NOT. Also an FAC is dependant on the land you have to shoot on as well as your security (gun safe) in your house etc....

I've unfortunatly been on the wrong end of the 12 ft/lbs rule Luckilly I had (turned it round on the Police) gotten just a caution instead of a sell behind bars! Good on you getting it checked very worth while Have it tested with Light, medium and heavy pellets (springers tend to produce the most with a medium to light pellet), Tony
