  1. The process and checks are identical unfortunately. Tony
  2. I personally don't see the point of having an air rifle of that cal or power It is after all said and done FAC and a .22 rimmy is around a similer output. Regarding the "Unsafe Backstop" comment, our view was well off the shooters line of sight and not a scopecam shot. The shooter probably did have a clear and obvious safe backstop. Had the shooter used the same position of the camera that 2 for 1 would not have been possible. Lovely shooting by him Tony
  3. I've had to put the standard stock on her at the moment, because in that guise it was very easy to convert the rifle into a pistol by removing the wire stock and at just under 9ft/lbs I didn't fancy the idea of anyone calling it a pistol. Once I'm happy with the gun (I gave the 2 shot breech and magazine away last week and put a new alloy single shot breech in place) and it's sitting pretty at about 10.5 to 11 then I'll have the wire stock bonded into the adaptor so that it cant easily be turned into a pistol. Tony
  4. Its a 2250B Got it as a fixer up pistol, I've turned it into allsorts so far, Pistol, Wire Stock, Standard Stock, new barrel etc.... The HPA will fit into the standard tube with a modded valve assembly and I've got various soft/normal and hard springs for the hammer. This is how it looked with original barrel and wire stock and two shot magazine in place. Tony
  5. Nice one Mike I'm doing a conversion to my Ratty Parts are due this weel Tony
  6. This guy' does an amazing curry and theres no reason he cant be camp cook http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/user/38955-marksman/ And cuz he's abroad at the moment he cant say no! SORTED
  7. If they didn't like passengers drinking, they wouldnt sell them alcohol on the trains would they? I'm not talking about getting ratted, just a couple on the cross country train, but there is no way I am paying £5 for a can of Fosters natts piss when I can get 4 pints of Stella for a fiver
  8. Well now you do Send me your seat details for the train from Sheff, we may as well ave a few bevvies on the way down
  9. Really? I've found the exact opposite Tony
  10. POI versus POA does not change because you use a lamp on the gun POI "may" change because you have to 'compensate' for the weight of the lamp on your gun (especially if using a springer) because the weight of the lamp alters the way the gun recoils
  11. The Falcon, no doubt about it I like the S16 but out of the two there is no contest (especially against the S16 mk1) Tony
  12. My passport was posted to expand, they won't sell me a gun before I get it backkkk!!! You dont need a passport to buy a gun, just some photo id (student union card) and a bill of some kind with your address on, such as rent book.
  13. But you wont will you Ralph? You see Ralph; This is more than an airgun forum, it's not about target shooting, it's about hunting and we in this section use our airguns to hunt Now earlier you asked us all if we minded you asking us questions, you can ask as many as you like, but if you prefere to plink at tin cans and shoot at paper targets and dont like the idea of killing with airguns, then perhaps you would be better off on another forum such as airgunbbs where images of dead animals are not allowed Like I say we hunt, we kill and a lot of us take pictures of our kills to complime
  14. Why do you ask oh dark one? Just lately folk have been putting chewed ears down to harvesters, but its a well known fact that dominent bucks savage the ears on juniors, so just wondered if the bunny in the pic was a young buck, because if it is, then there is a senior buck with a flock of doe's near by I noticed the lug hole Never thought it was owt to do with farm machinary though, as it's not round (pellet shaped) it has to have been nibbled by a senior Buck toothed bunny
  15. Why do you ask oh dark one?
  16. Happy to help Yeah You want to shoot the bunnies not give them sunburn Seriously, the brighter the thing is, the more likely they are to run Thats why a lamp with a dimmer is so good Tony
  17. Congrats on the lil un, Sad to hear of your wife loosing her job (so much for britain is on the up). I began using an Ultrafire Cree torch mounted on to my gun. Stick to 300 lumen or less they cost pennies really compared to the usual brands, I got mine with charger and rechargable batteries, two switches (torch and finger remote for the gun) for less than £15 including delivery. Ebay I then spent a couple of quid on a set of coloured filters. You can buy them with red led's already installed. Massive light throw on them (just dont look at it when on, it HURTS the eyes! Trust me). When
  18. Go for the mounts that keep the scope as low on the action as possible that will allow you to adjust the parralax ring without scratching it agains the action. I believe mine are High mounts at about 2inches from foot to top. Hope that helps. Tony
  19. If it's just to wipe the metal work down you can use bog standard oils, 3in1, motor oil or even vegatable oil just to help keep the rust at bay, or WD40 sprayed onto a rag before wiping the gun down. If its just to protect the wood, just dry it off. Tony
  20. A lighter weight pellet will reduce the Muzzle Energy, so if you set the gun at 11.5ft/lbs with a light pellet and the police tested it with a heavier pellet you would be done for possession of an illegal firearm as a heavier pellet would likely take it above the 12ft/lbs legal limit. Unless of course you had it on your FAC. A medium weight pellet is Ideal for the S200's Air Arms Fields, Crosman Premier aka Accupel etc.... but when setting the power of the gun use something readily obtainable such as a Bisley Magnum heavy pellet and set the gun at 11.5 ft/lbs with that, then you know y
  21. Amy Wineless with an ink gun and t!ts I've been tempted and it's all your fault (well you and John) Secret Squizzer and Milldot on his noggin me thinks
