  1. I would class it as a smooth coat, but how you describe it and how it looks...perfect to me  Warm without needing stripping or clipping, wont hold burrs and stickys.

    MOLL.

I think its from the Belgian shepard, her dad has a similar coat, hes a half cross.

  2. Ive got a Bedlington/springer :D Shes a good ratter, will bush rabbits well and marks a bit out ferreting.

Shes got a really decent nose and has taken a wood pigeon out of cover before!

Ill try and put a picture up of her later, she is a little bit unusual to say the least :icon_eek:

if you cant on here try emailing me it ,its kind of what got me thinking that the ugly dogs i seen as a kid were workers, pot fillers that earned their keep. no one cared about looks,in 70,s/80,s.now with more money and show craze people seem to care about looks over working ability.back in dorset even the lifestock was crossbreds let alone small animals only big farmers had pure breeds.so if someone had a ugly dog you knew it was a secret grafter.i expect the people that used to knock around the hill farms in wales/shropshire can relate to this rundown farms beat up old van no flash jap 4x4,s.

    Sorry for the delay mate

  3. it is very hard to choose a time with a pup every one is differant just get to know it spend time and you will know more then anyone when the time is right but one thing asd said is dont do to much to young is right as you could spoil it and only u will be dissapointed

    :good::good::good:

    Well said mate

  4. This is what i do with my dogs,i know every one has their own ways but i was told to do it this way by experienced dog men and i believe my dogs have benefited from doing it this way...I don't start my dogs off running until they are over 12 month old for a bitch and 14 month for a dog, even at this age they are nowhere near mature.I have seen not dozens but hundreds of dogs ruined by running them too soon,a good instance of how running a dog too soon can ruin it is many lads with daytime dogs say they caught this and caught that when it was only "however old",but before you know it they are finished ,only two or three year old and "cocking" ,this means not chasing. If you give your dog time it will more than repay your patience. As one or two lads have said just get the dog doing the other basic things, retrieving, obedience and jumping but just hang on with him,i know it's difficult especially when you only have the one dog but in the long run it will be of benefit to you and your dog.The dog i have been running last season is almost 9 and honestly he was born in June of 97 and he never even seen a rabbit until September the following year, this dog as caught an unbelievable amount of game,he gets totally hammered every time i run him and this dog has never "cocked",i believe with giving him a little time he as more than repayed me.Each person has their methods but this is how i have brought mine on for almost 30 years.Good luck with whatever you choose to do with your pup.Andy.

    MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY MATE

That Saluki pup has killed nothing that can run yet.

Mind you, if it cant run, its in a lot of trouble.

  5. if you was in charge of this country how would you run it . ie law and order etc!

go communist and declare war on bushs monkey faced assehole

    communisim dont work

Neither does religion Chilli, but theres a huge bunch of crazy people who are keen on that aswell

  6. collie x greyhound has 2 be 1 of the best lurchers 4 foxes i hav 2 lurchers 1 of them is a bull x and the other 1 is a collie x the collie x show my bull x up all the time

That makes alot of sense mate, some time its down to the individual dogs character and its training

Although its breeding is obviously a big factor its not everything IMHO :good:
