I live a couple of minutes from a german Shepherd breeder who was head of the Met police dog department and is still held in very high regard in German Shepherd circles.He said that the Czech line shepherds were too much even for the police when they tried them as they were wired more like a Mali which they also tried and gave up on.Seen so many lads get these super hypo working bred lines as guards or even security dogs for work and end up with massive problems as they just cant give them the constant stimulation they need.Its all very well watching YouTube vids of these

    A pain but at least its safe and not getting you in bother.Known lads that have been trashed to slip a dog in the same vicinity as a field of sheep in case it looses the intended quarry.

    Tbh mate I think that not completely stockbreaking a lurcher before you start running it is pretty irresponsible.Myself and a mate that I used to hunt with had bull crosses that we could slip on anything even if it was amongst a field of sheep.Ive got a bandog bitch here now with a big lump of bull in her that I can leave unattended with sheep,horses and even chickens and ducks and she wont even look at them.Saying a lurcher is iffy around stock just because it has bull in it is just an excuse for laziness.Ive had game bred bulldogs that were fine around stock.

    Seen a lot of different breeds imported as adults over the last few years that were only any good for a bullet in the nut.Seems to be a popular misconception with lads at the moment that if you import something from eastern Europe or one of the Baltic states that you're gunna get something special.They just dont seem to realise that them f**kers are all peddling c**ts that couldnt afford a loaf of bread a few years back let alone a well bred dog to start a programme with.

    Yeah Ideal for around a smallholding/farm/stable yard etc.Couldnt be doing with one of the big hairy,Smelly f**king thing round me though.

    My pal has a few on his farm and they seem the complete opposite to that.Very relaxed and quiet around the place and only seem to bark if they have reason to.

    Caucasian ovcharca.Naturally territorial and happy to live outdoors all year round and not rank dominant so dont need an overly experienced handler.Pretty relaxed too so dont need constant stimulation like some of the more driven herding breeds.

    Should guard well enough but be prepared for some vets bills and dont be expecting it to be around for much more than 8years

    I had what I regard a very good fox bitch nearly 20 years ago.Speed enough to catch winter foxes off decent slips and plenty game enough.Id say she was a better foxing lurcher than 90%of the so called fox dogs ive witnessed over the years and her best was 4 in a night once and a couple of 3s and to be honest she wasnt getting run on any more foxes that week.Im talking winter foxes not 3/4 grown cubs and lamped on foot and run single handed.

    Lets be honest how many bull crosses could do 3 or 4 in a night 3/4 times a week?I spent many years lamping regularly with different lads with bull crosses containing all the famous lines you hear about on here and I never saw many despite all the bollocks Id been told.Im talking single handed walked up not chasing them across a field in a motor and chucking multiple dogs out
