    Phobia's

Its not silly and nothing to be ashamed of, I actually went through a phase of keeping the light on too, because of a dream I had that scared the pants off me (can't remember the ins and outs of it), I kept the light on at the bedside for years after. I hope you are getting over this now!

    Phobia's

The only thing I have ever been frightened of in my life is "NEEDLES", it has affected me for over thirty years of my life now, and is a real pain. I have avoided dentists (as some of you may already know), doctors, hospitals and anyone else that may want to poke me with one of the horrible implements. I married a nurse and she calls me a big puff (6'4" and 16st(not her that is me)), she has offered to give me tetanus and extract blood, all to no avail. I know in my head it will not hurt (much) but can still not abide any thing to do with them, the thought of it makes me want to ru

    The wind

Well don't they get it wrong, the bloody weather people again! They said we were going to get 100mph+ gusts tonight, I had vague recollections of 2003 (130mph+). We live on the west side of the outer Hebrides (isle of lewis - Atlantic side), so we do get the brunt of the winds most of the winter, its not bad, I am thankful for not having fast food chains like macdonalds etc. When we get a met office warning delivered by hand door to door, we generally take action, batten down the hatches etc etc. The main problem with the wind here is not structural, but flying debris. So its in ev

For general blasting or zeroing scopes these are some I have gathered together, I have some webspace, and they are all free to redistribute, with no copy rights, so enjoy whatever your weapon of choice maybe. This time of year especially when there is no real sport, I am sure one of these you may enjoy. All in .pdf format for you to save and print out. HERE Regards, Gav.
  15. Aye any firearm, carried in a vehicle on a public highway should be secured, that meaning been in the boot in a case or other secure means the police at the time deem fit, be on the safe side, if its not in use bag it and stick it in the boot. Always keep on the right side of the law for all our sakes peoples
  16. You support fox hunting, which means you have a blood lust. You people can't even admit it, can you? You must be very ashamed but you just can't control your fetish

    who is it ????

Nope not me, long time since i been there tough.
  20. Oh the arguing isn't worth it with these people. "emeraldxm (2 hours ago) What did you get a degree in? Being an ignorant c**t? You're clearly not aware that whole civilizations thrive upon a vegetarian diet. I investigate hunters, that's where I get my evidence/proof. You've never heard of cubbing? You really need to educate yourself before shouting your mouth off. rgmanby (3 hours ago) Oh dear we really have got a complex haven't we. You don't eat meat, that's your choice and good for you, even though the human body is equipped to eat meat, you choose not to, fair play. Maybe i
  21. Well I just got wind of this, I did not mean to offend any one for starters, if you do get offended then you. The "Well seen as I am the only qualified [b/] welder posting on this" should have had maybe a "so far" on the end, I am sorry for not including this in the original post, but hey I am human. No I am not the only welder in the world, and for my sins its a shit job any way, thats why I am retired. I'm not going to blow my trumpet at the things I have done, but been 90m down trying to cut legs off a burnt out platform, then you may have a clue what its about. The thing
  22. It is more than likely when they have big broods, it saves them pecking each other, but like I say they do sort themselves out pretty quickly. All our chickens that we ever bought from big breeders were the same.
  23. Don't panic, its normal in young birds which are mass bred, their beaks will grow and will smooth off and look pretty normal by the next couple of months. Chickens beaks are like nails and constantly grow and wear down with use A normal diet of mixed grain, layers and grit will do just fine.
  24. Well seen as I am the only qualified welder posting on this, you get what you pay for as previously said, this tackle upto 160A is a toy, if you want to play with arc its not a bad price to start, you can even get carbon rods to do light work. Its all down to what you want to do with it at the end of the day, this will do comfortably 1.5mm to 4mm mild steel, no good at all for light work as you will have to goto 60-80A to strike a good arc. Hope this helps
