    Nice looking bit of kit, I've the A-tec Hertz on my .308, very light huh. Mine gets really hot after just a few rounds but I guess that means its doing its job, give it a good airing whilst your out, the stink of ammonia is horrendous ?

    Well we even reached 20c today, far too hot, I've passed the imigration papers to the other half to sign for Greenland! The contents of the freezer are knackerd after having to keep my head in there all day. Too hot even to get over the threshold, I agree roll on winter ?

    I don't think they care to be honest, I was told by a BT engineer the silent ones that hang up are just computers ringing random numbers for live lines, they then sell them on to anyone who wants to pay for bulk numbers for scammers or marketeers.

    I honestly get more on my mobile than landline, they hang up or its a prerecorded message saying I've been in an accident, if the numbers not in my phone book I just reject them now.

    We have competitions in this house to see who can keep them on the line the longest or wind them up to put the phone down first, it used to be annoying but now its great fun, we've not had any in ages now though, I think they're onto us ?

    Bit too windy for them here today, we have the massive ones with psychedelic eyes, look like they're on acid.

    I'd always go back to opticswarehouse, I've always been impressed with they're knowledge and service, they have a massive range and good prices, even the second hand stuff is like new. I'm all set up and happy with what I have, so not in the market for anything new. I've a Walther 4x12x50 on the .22lr, a 3x12x62 nikko stirling on the .17hmr and a nikko stirling 6x24x50 on the .308wmr.

    We had a calmac ferry (Clansman) sailing to Iceland a few years ago for 14 hours it was that bad, I'm right up by the Butt of Lewis 58° North, its starting to get darkish around midnight for a couple of hours now, but solstice time is a pain, I much prefer winter when theres no heebeejeebies aboot, and the winds up to 160mph, I wonder why we have no trees ?
