I've rods, brushes, jags and mops for the .308 and .22, but with the .17 been so small I've only seen one set to do the job, so I use a brass wire doubled in half to pull patches through, which serves a purpose, but once I've used all the ammo up I have, I'm getting rid of the mouse gun and swap it out for a .22 hornet I think, I'm too tight to invest in new rods etc for something I'm not going to keep.

We bought a dacia logan estate a few years ago, was cheap, short of £12 grand was great economicly, free tax, 60 - 70 MPG, but was cheap and reliable, wife gave it to the son after 18 month and bought a rangerover sport coz it was too cheap ?, £80 grand and 18 MPG, Defender was only £35 grand and does 22 MPG. Shes looking at a new rangey now as the one she has is due an MOT, £180 grand, the paint is £20 grand alone, I think shes having a mid life crisis ?

Not a great fan of the show, but thats some cracking playing and some money on display in axes, cracking bunch of talented guys ? A couple seem familuar but canny place the faces.

Used to have a MKII Granada estate, twin webbers, old sweeny 70s classic, could hear the carbs sucking the fuel in, was a beast and did about 12 MPG, I'd happily have one again. Fond memories of taking it around round abouts sideways ?

I had the .308 win out the other night, just testing loads, but the hotter the thing got the further right it hit, let it cool down and it was bang on again. I can only put it down to it getting hot, wouldn't put enough through it on a stalk, but funny trying to get a good zero.

I do love the sub cci's I must admit, I used the HV round, but if I want to make a crack I get the mouse gun out. Can't beat a .22lr sub for all round work, quiet and effective, cheap and just a bloody good round ?

I use those blacktargets that change flori yellow when hit, at distance you can see the holes, even mouse gun holes ? Ive only ever used ballastic calcs as a rough guide too, there are too many varients with ballastics to be precise. Spatter burst targets come with little stickers to cover your holes so can be reused, marvelous they are! I got them on amazon.

I like my kellies, have a small and a large, no fuel to carry and boil in under five mins with scraps of Heather. What suits one doesn't always suit all though, it's what you get used to huh, gas is cleaner though, but soot out of a kellies handy if you wanna go full cammo ? I have got three gas ones somewhere ?

Depends what ya want Meals are £6 to £8, cakes etc a tad cheaper, depends on brand too, folk selling army ones as full box day packs and they vary too on fleabay etc

Thanks for the input pal ? I was merly asking though if anyone knew where to get these cheaper than the average stores as they've become expensive. We don't live on them, infact used to only take one or two out, the rest we pack the usuall, porridge oats, jerky, snikers etc etc, just for a change these things were great and eaten cold or warm made a change. Think the popularity of camping etc has driven the price up and the usual companies are just cashing in!
