  1. The PC brigade are out again, trying to dictate what we can and can't do, alter our ways of life to suit they're own agenda. SACS are highlighting this and opposing it, see the link for further info. Theres a questionaire you can fill in at the end if you have time. https://www.sacs.org.uk/news/proposed-scottish-green-party-fox-and-hare-control-ban
  2. I've had the same with a SAK I have, they do collect some gunk, but at least you can get into them to clean, unlike the A-Tec's I have which are maintenance free?? Wondering how long these units last until they bung up and are unusable?

Aye trouble was once she stopped she put even more weight on, hence why she ended up an ex?

    DIETS

Yeah thats perfectly logical. I'm just one of those that doesn't really put it on or lose it whatever I do, set in my ways and the only indulgence I do is a big dirty mixed naan kebab maybe once a month, the rest of the time I'm a meat and two veg guy.

    DIETS

Had a bird once on that Atkins diet, she just ate meat and protien, no carbs. She lost loads but had to test her pee regular for keytones.

I'm on a sea food diet, I see food and eat it ? 16 stone for the last forty years +, was 6'5" probably shrunk a bit now though

    Spanish fly....

It's the fridge that bit him on the arse though, removal by hand and a 4000 euro fine. (thats how dated my keyboard is, no euro symbol ?, too much hassle to use charkey, see I ain't that dumb).
  11. Ah cheers pal, I know the score, wife has a lurcher whippet lined up if I don't get a Deer first, got collie mix whip thats a bit lost, he's deaf an she was his ears. They were pups together but the big uns don't live as long ?
  12. When I say "doesn't feel right" I actually mean, "what do you want, I'll get one"! You know the scenario.
  13. Cheers pal, seen a few but its got to be right, if you know what I mean? I'm not after a cute pup (the wife says different)? I got past sentimental forty years ago an a few mongrels later ? love em all the same though ? How did it turn out? Great lump of food devouring attention seeking fittness fanatic at a guess ?

    Ration packs!

Well, I made a fry up the other day, Sausage, bacon, beans, black pud an scrammbled egg (mushrooms but left them out because they go squishy), stuck the extra I'd done intentionaly in a vac pack, couple of nights in the fridge, ate it today cold, two days old, oh what was I thinking buying that tosh to start with, an absolute delight when you kept your eyes shut! ? Won't be wasting money on RAT packs any time soon. They were just handy as the kids used to give me loads, but now hey, I've a fridge full of fresh home made, anyone for breakfast ?

    Golden Eagles.

Honestly the one I met on the moor, was around twenty feet away, it was so well camouflaged I didn't even see it till it spooked, it was Callousal, I don't even want to guestimate its size, but very impressive!
  18. Sorry my last quote was ment to be a joke, the .300 weathy mag I think is all but obsolete to the .300 win mag, I don't think you'd get a cartridge on your ticket that chucks 200gn projectiles at 3000fps+ for foxes. However as other people have stated the.223 is quite adequate for the job, and a good true round for what you require, rounds are relatively cheap (even more so if you home load), all good RFD stock them, pretty sure its the NATO 5.56mm, so the answers are there. There are the 22-250, 222 and .22 Hornet and a lot of others that are good callibres, if you can get a chance to ha

    Golden Eagles.

Thanks, I have to get my kids to work my mobile phone though. The wife has a big fancy all singing, dancing Cannon500D EOS DSLR with all sorts of different lenses, she actually got some wild life snaps published on a calendar, so I'll try and get her on the case. ?
  20. I find not much gets up or is left with a 300 weathy mag ?

    Spanish fly....

Oh there is a karma ??
  22. We're very lucky to have good numbers here. I've just been watching one for near on half an hour! I wish I knew how to work the wifes SLR, but alas I only can use a set of bino's. What a majestic bird in the wild, this thing must have been near on a mile high, circling looking for prey. As it came down some all the wee birds swarmed it, small and large alike, they seem to come together, protecting each other in numbers. The eagle could have taken one out, and had a feed, but just kept circling, seeming to ignore the wee pests. It must have seen something, or just dove to get a bit of
  23. Don't need licenses here in Scotland, why do you need one in England? Where does the money go? I'll sit out on a loch with 12 to 18 rods out when I'm not otter boarding, would you need a license for an otter board or nets or is it just a rod? Do you have to take a test to get a license? Sounds fishy to me licenses! I just don't get why'd you'd have to have one to catch some fish?
