  1. ? I did alright in my younger days so I've not had to work the last thirty years or so aye ? Cars on the drive more than I paid for the house ?
  2. I've had this alladin 23 for decades and won't part with it, I have spare wicks and mantles too. The mantle and airflow combination makes it super bright
  3. I've not even tried the line out or drag take off yet, its brown trouser time as is ?
  4. Would you with Carbide dies though, I always got told you didn't need too with them. when I have fls I always strip and clean the die to get rid of lube after, never lubed to bump, maybe I should start, but never had a stiff one bumping (that's sounds so wrong ?)
  5. It sounds it too, the exhausts are tuned to sound like the original shelby model in the movie ?
  6. Yeah that's the stuff I only paid £7.99 though ? I've heard nothing but good about the stuff from anyone that's used it, and anyone that has swears they won't use anything else after too.
  7. We just bought this for a runaround it's only 478bhp but apparently ya can remap em to 535bhp,dont think ill bother though. We were guna trade the rangey in but its comfy and won't part with the defender ? Oh yeah it's a v8 5ltr an does 20mpg if your light on the foot, but that's hard to do ?
  8. Pink baby, you really shouldn't need to ask ?
  9. I just ordered some redding imperial sizing wax as I've heard many good reports and it apparently lasts for ever.
  10. No I didn't slug the bore as I'm still mainly using it for jacketed, unless I get a dedicated rifle for cast thats how it'll stay. I size them to .308 to crimp gas checks, just loaded some 170gn flat nose which should achieve around 2000fps @ 23,500 psi, just need to see how they group now.
  11. Liquid alox. It's about as hard as I'd want to go without them going brittle, need the hardness for a good pressure and stop leading. I'm going by the book so not making it up. Around 28 BNH they get brittle so a good way off, and can get upto 28,000psi with 21 BNH so suits me Sir.

  13. I've seven skids eldest 30 youngest 9, only two left at home now, eldest grandson is 8 ? I don't need a birthday every year to remind me how old I am, I've just to try and get out of bed in a morning ?
  14. I started years ago, just got a mould and never really bothered until I dug it out recently, then I realised theres really a whole lot more too it than pouring moulten lead in a mould. The more you look into it the more complex it seems, once you've got your head round it its not that bad. I just ordered the Lyman cast bullet handbook 4th edition, and bought alsorts, lee's lead hardness tester was the most expensive bit at £77 and the lee 20lbs smelting pots @£120 each, all fun and games though and relieves a bit of boredom ? I just hope the wife never sells all my gear for what I told he
  15. Happy b'day yesterday, mine today and I'm not far behind you, Might even catch you up in a couple of years ? And before anyone says it "May the 4th be with you", I get it every year and its boring now ?
  16. I've only had chance once with 8 loads, they were landing well @100yds just need to try and get out a bit more and see if I can fine tune them now. Using 2oz tin 1lbs antimony and 6lbs lead mix. It gives me around 21BNH so don't want to exceed 28,000psi, ones I tried were around 22,000psi so room for manouver ?
  17. I've a few .pdf reloading manuals, pm me if you want some.
  18. I had a friend once (yes just the once) he had an old enfield WWII .303 and burnt into the stock was "property of Nigerian police", it had obviously been about a bit but was great to shoot and very accurate. Henry Kranks still sell them them and spares.
  19. Mmmmm shiney trigger, nice an pretty, my precious ? I missed BGT too, but mine was intentional ? My understanding of the law is, if they are bothering livestock you can shoot them, I certainly wouldn't unless it was a last resort!
  20. Think things are different in Scotland, I've never had to have land cleared and I have over 56,000 acres of the local estate, to my knowledge its never been cleared for any caliber. I've .22lr, .17hmr and .308 win.
  21. "banning the sale, transportation, import and use of 1,500 models and variants of assault rifles and weapons. The ban is effective immediately but there will be a two-year amnesty period for law-abiding gun owners to comply. " A lot can be read into that statement, once the heat dies down over it,and folk get complacent it'll be another 1,500 weapons, it won't end!
  22. An interesting read Firearms security handbook 2019, downloadable PDF, been a long time since I read the guidlines ?
  23. Sounds like my sorta bloke ?
