  5. will you lot stop baiting then banning folk off here , they are "interesting" comments they are making , i want to see prolape and johnny back on here , they make me look good
  6. duke do a standard trap and a magnum trap, same frame and spring ,its just on the magnum , the kill bars touch , on a standard there can be a gap of almost an inch, for the extra couple of pence, i would buy the magnums a 110 magnum is more than capable of killing a rabbit or mink,
  7. great minds think alike, OTC cannot see the Woods for the trees
  8. you got a valid point, its all about cash , not animal welfare
  9. You are quite safe here Logun. Like everyone else who behaves sensibly and contributes. There is nothing wrong with constructive debate. you only safe til matt works out how to bin ya.lol
  10. so are you going to reinstate prolapse uk ? i found him very entertaning
  11. im suprised an organisation like the NGO hasnt done something to improve traps and trapping standards, keepers rely heavily on traps and snares to do thier work , someone needs to develop a new all singing all dancing trap that will do the job efficiently and humanely or at least beef up what we have now and make it law to use them in the correct sized holes , tunnels or boxes , which help with their humaneness
  12. if you have never missed a mole in a trap , you gotta be summit special, you gonna make a mint if you share your secret
  13. i should be well dead by now, more lives than a cat
  14. quad bikes rule, it means you have a life after work, when on foot , all i wanted to do after dark was sit, once i got a bike, i was out lamping with dogs or gun, pick up days , thurday /friday were a doddle, used for ferreting , rabbiting , just about everything to do wi work and hauling numbers of traps about, if your a pro and dont use a bike , u need to get modern, i said for years i didnt need a bike, my mate told me to get one , wouldnt work without one now if i was still moling
  15. good idea, lol, whiskey and anti biotic mix very well ill have you know
  16. could you still charge for a part mole ? or are most folk on per whole mole ?, just a thought if you catch a front foot , that would probably mean death to said mole, would a customer be happy with a front foot and an assurance that the mole will die? will a mole dig in circles with only one foot ? the mind boggles
  17. was always two per mole for me on agri, 4 per mole gardens, tho its difficult to work out how many moles are in any given area, some sets of workings just looked undergunned with only one trap set, like butler said, leaves a little bit for error and always a chance of getting a neighbouring mole aswell, money in the bank, 30 odd seconds to find run and set a trap, 50-60% catch rate, worked for me
  18. lol, there some good books out there on mole studies , done by different scientists, i have to say i learned alot from them about mole senses and territories etc, has help over the years, as glenn waters said years ago "study your animal"
  19. Sorry..im more than happy with my catch rate i dont give money to anybody without good reason. I saw all the dvds for £15 a time on the net but there a scam..trail and error is the best way to learn...after all its a mole in a hole..its not going anywhere lol. that "scam " has helped a hell of alot of people over the years , and for £15 your getting an awfull lot , i just wish i had £15 worth of scam when i started up all those years ago, keep learning , it will only take a few years of trial and error,
  20. probuk, no offence , but you seem to be complicating things and making work for yourself, digging holes deeper to make a trap under ground level is more work, as is putting grass then sprinkling soil around, everyone has thier own methods and if it works for you then , fine, tight holes are not neccesary , you gotta leave room to work, barrels set easily , quickly and catch well, with the chance of a double, i think thats probaly why they so popular,
