you need a snare attached to a brick and the brick wired to the gurder , the wire from brick to gurder wants to be long enuff so minky can be drowned himself when he jumps off the gurder, the brick will keep the mink under the water out of sight and harmsway -

i had bother with a neigbours cat a few years back , it tormented my dogs for years , one day it was stopped from tormenting them, by them ,anyway , there was a right carry on in the village by other cat owners , they were trying to get me to muzzel my dogs everytime they were out, so i phoned the police for advice, the desk seargent basically said , dogs chase cats, the worst that could happen was" my neigbours could get a court order taken out to get me to control my dogs, it would be a long drawn out and very expensive carry on and they probably wouldn,t bother" his words ,not mine, so when

or alternativly , you could make some fenn sized bird nest boxes , fixed up the tree ,make sure the fenns are fixed inside the boxes , so any squirrel caught cannot get away with the trap, not like one local muppet near me,if you make the box so a fenn fits tight in the bottom and the hole is well up the top , a squirrel will put almost its full weight on the plate , resulting in a good clean catch, feed with wheat til the squirrels get used to going in , then set your fenns in em, joe public thinks there bird boxes, just make sure they are well up the trees accessed only by a ladder

most of what we shoot on my ground are lesser bucks than the better ones we see, maybe they are travelling about without territories, never seen a fight proper ,but seen plenty of times where a good buck is trying to run off a smaller buck ,we havn,t got as many does as i would have liked , but will try again this weekend, there are so many deer around us at the moment nemo,s just got a nice bit of new ground for himself , so he doesn,t have to shoot all my buck,s ,now i can shoot his for a change

"how NOT to trap and snare "by D ,Shitter -
hi vmax , i was out with nemo this weekend, i unfortunatly didn,t see the buck he,s on about, as i was too busy trying to get a bead on a doe, there are quite a few good bucks around our area,s but they tend to vanish thru buck season, and we end up shooting other bucks, is this usually cos they have wised up and tend to be nocturnal ? also do roe use the same bed,s or bedding areas night after night ?, i have stalked for quite a few years , but are by no means an expert , i usually just shoot what,s in front of me , so long as its in season, most of the ground i do is smallish blocks spread ov

, it'll be a bitch trying to cammo that trap. There's simply nothing for miles around it but Juncus Rush theres a load of grass and theres waterweed in your pic , cover the trap with those , if you want to use lure , put it under the plate , then theres less chance of the rain washing it off, failing all that , why not sit next to the gurder all night and when it walks past, hit the f*****g thing on the head with your trap, hope this helps -
he was definately the dominant buck weve seen around but wont know about medal status til ive shot him til who,s shot him ???

Me too Ditch - a mink will go into anything, he's not afraid of where he puts his feet (unlike cats and rats). I can see me getting a small tuppaware tub and sending you some kippers soon to use as bait . . . OTC or better still send over a live mink, i might fly over at the weekend and put a bloody mink in shitty,s trap for him , just don,t tell him
