havn,t you heard, the famous ditchy has eradicated all the mink in ireland by using his unique idstone type setup of mink snares set in the entrance tunnels of the trap and juby traps at the bottom of the hole leading up to multiple strings of frozen a drilled mice , i believe its called a "big pile of shite" set , if the mink is still alive , it is beated to submission with the springs of a broken cage trap:whistle:

you will never set up a succesful buisness on one contract , but go for it , you gotta start somewhere, your gonna need risk assesments , insurance ,method statements and qualifications to name just a few,before you even think about a quote, sorry to knock the wind out ya sails , but nothing these days is as straight forward as some may think,everyone want reams of paperwork these days, i had to do all the above plus more, just to catch a few rabbits on some water board land last year, its a long story

get straight onto the environment agency and report it ,take a water sample and picturs, sounds like a pollution , i found something similar many years ago, so phoned the emergency hotline and they sent a bloke out straight away , the local waterworks had leaked effluent into the stream and then sent down thousands of gallons of clean water to flush the steam and try to get away with it , if it wasn,t for us pesky meddeling kids ,they probably would

try putting a bit of sugar in water and then on thier food , it gives them an energy boost, i got that tip off a falconer last year when i was rearing some young kestrels

I do have both photos and a description somewhere in the library vaults Ditch - I will dig them out when I get chance and post them - I am away from my home pc and scanner at the moment I cannot remember exactly but don't think the figure-4 stone deadfall is right though - I think it was a drop door stone and slate box trap if my memory serves me right. there are certain things you will need, 1st , you need a pair of wellies that look too big,2nd you need a bad susptious attitude,3rd , you need to have your legs amputating and your arse glueing to a landy seat -
it could be a lewis or a masons, just missed out on a masons on e bay, made 45 quid , was in a lot better nick than that one and had the trigger and spring, i have a lewis without the spring ,i have one of the tin ones too , but not sure of the maker, no doubt otc or shitty will know
